I find Mishima both fascinating and loathsome at the same time. I have so many books about him! In my opinion, novels weren't great because he just wrote about himself rather than inventing a true fiction and they were cloyingly self-indulgent. 'Mishima's Sword' about the search for his personal sword that was used in the botched attempt to behead him, is a really good read.

I'd highly recommend reading 'Mishima on Hagakure' to hear his generational moaning about how bad Japanese youth and society is now etc. I think he'd decapitate himself if he saw what the young Japanese people were like today

I think Sanseitō are probably too 'left' for Mishima!
