I'm looking for an Amerasian from Kobe, Japan with maybe just a partial name of Mika Kako or Kako Mika, born during the Korean conflict.

You mean, the Korean War of the 1950's? I think it will be very, very difficult to find this person without a certain, full name, and even then it feels very unlikely. The generation after this may have some exposure on social media, but someone born in Japan in the 50's will not leave a very heavy footprint on the internet unless he/she is famous.

Thank you for responding. Correct on Korean War/1950's. Yes, I agree. I've done some research and it appears to be a very difficult task. Just thought I'd put it out there on the wild chance I could find this woman. Perhaps her child or grandchild might be on social media. We did do DNA to find any related people, which was unsuccessful. My impression is things like Ancestry.com are not big in Japan because of the extensive family records kept, etc.

Yes, Ancestry.com is kind of superfluous in Japan because of the whole family registry thing, among other reasons.
Anyway, I wish you luck and let's see if your post attracts the interest of anyone who might know something. I think JREF has had a few successes with "hail Mary" searches.
You don't happen to know the kanji for Kako do you?

Thank you for the well wishes and encouragement! I do not know the kanji and do not have much knowledge of it. All I have for a name is on the back of her toddler photo from a photo studio, written like: Mi kA. kAko
Assuming the Cap A was just the writer's style. The Mi and kA are separated, so I could be wrong about the name even being Mika. And not sure why a period after kA? There is a Kb in the corner, which I assume is for Kobe, where I know she was born. Any other insight is appreciated.
