The thread for these boys seems to be waning so I thought I'd add my two cents, stir the bottom, what have you.
Must say that there two recent mini-album releases are their best yet. I was initially not impressed with the band when they debut with Scream Guiltily, but have since developed a fondness for the act.
I remember meeting them late last year at the Liquid Room in Ebisu during - I believe - the Versailles debut. They were standing around idle in the hall during a band change so I thought I would just pounce on them and introduce myself... lay some comment on them etc.
Well.... they don't speak English, and damn... they are as shy as all get out.
Of course the sight of a 200lb, six-foot foreigner coming up to them, saying hello, saying how cool he thought they were, CDs etc, and how he wished he had hair as cool as theirs, kinda took'em by surprise. They did do a lot of bowing though. Always fun to meet visual bands. Vidoru was cool when I met then about four years ago, upstairs in the office of Like An Edison CD shop. Their drummer played me his cellphone ringer... the sound of a girl moaning and moaning and moaning. He thought it was funny as hell.
