Hey all,
I was invited here by my guitar teacher ... who lives in Chicago!
Been in Japan since '69, came from the U.S. at the impressionable age of 12. Back when a lot of Yokohama was US Navy, I elected to be "off-base" most of the time, though a military brat. Married my high school sweetheart, and we're still luv-luv. My two kids are half, but both now married and in the US. Was brought up athiest, tried Buddha, now a Christian pastor, but maybe a bit unconventional.
What I do, and how I got here is on my website ... if you're interested. Not sure how to post pics here, but I'll give it a try ...

Appreciate the welcome, thomas!
A cyclist, eh? I did that for a while, but went back to my original love ...
Climbing Mt. Fuji with a buddy (kamikaze downhill from 8th station) ... I'm in the Hammer Bros. duds. 2nd pic is my most recent 2-wheeler.
Man, I feel old! "First Generation" MTB ... but yeah, lol! I was importing frames from Steve McMahon and Keith Bontrager for a bit, and building and selling high-end MTB racers. Had a Klein triathlon bike and a few other roadracers, but sold off everything after a few spills.
... Real MTB guys pedal UP! (but I gotta admit that we had to portage a lot to get to the 8th station )
Cool site! But I'm off pedal bikes with a bad back suffered dodging a deer while downhilling in Pennsylvania ... on that Ti bike!
