I mean, at this point I wouldn't worry too much about Tokyo, it has been destroyed and rebuilt so many times that they can have it done in a day!Probably one the reasons that Japan has been so resilient is that it's had one disaster after another throughout its history. I don't know if you watched the original TV series of Monty Python's Flying Circus, but most of it was rubbish! Instead, I recommend 'Inside No.9' and 'The Mighty Boosh' if you can access them. The former's 'A Quiet Night In' is so unique. They are both superb comedies.But then again, only the UK could produce giants such as Monty Python and Dr. Who.

Dr Who has become so cringingly politically correct in the last few years that viewing figures are falling precipitously in the UK. I haven't really watched it since the days of Tom Baker (who, incidentally, is hilariously insane) but I've heard the latest incarnation has a Davros without his life support 'wheelchair' and no facial scarring to help break the association between disability and evil genius

Make sure you have a life vest then. If there is news of a tsunami you can at least put it on. Its probably a good idea even for good swimmers as you may get knocked out and at least the life vest would keep you afloat and should keep your head out of the water.I live by the sea…and I can't even swim!

The Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) offers a one-stop "Hazard Map Portal Site" (国土交通省ハザードマップポータルサイト), which has two main features: "Overlay Hazard Map (重ねるハザードマップ)" and "My Town Hazard Map (わがまちハザードマップ)". The Overlay Hazard Map lets you view multiple disaster risks on one interactive map for any location in Japan. You can turn on layers for floods, tsunamis, landslides, etc., all at once. For example, you could check both tsunami and flood layers for an address in Chuo Ward to see if it's in either inundation zone. The My Town Hazard Map feature allows you to pull up official hazard maps published by each municipality (in Tokyo's case, each ward). This is useful because each ward often has its own PDF maps with more detail, and you can find them by selecting 東京都 (Tokyo) and then the ward.
