M.O.V.E.

Hello everyone!


I was just surfing the forum when I found this section and started checking it out. Then I found that there wasn't a thread for one of my only favorite band of j-pop. And I said to myself "Oh well, let's start one!". So here I am.

Has any of you ever heard of M.O.V.E.? It's a Japanese popular music band with three members: MOTSU MC, YURI MASUDA and TAKASHI KIMURA. The first one is the rapper, the girl is the main singer and T. Kimura does everything else (plays 3729857985 types of instruments, remixes, produces, composes, etc, etc...). They started they career a while ago and they have been the responsibles of the opening and ending songs of almost all the seasons of the anime series INITAL D. Their relation with that anime series is such that one of their latest videos mixes anime with their real selves and turns thems into INITAL D-style anime characters.

Their music style is quite diverse. They started with techno/trance songs, but they's explored various styles. They've made some songs with latin rhythm, some others that are pure rock, some others that are simply romantic ballads... Almost everything. They are very versatile and I guess that's one of the things I love about them, apart from their lyrics, that are usually very deep and romantic.

And... Well. I don't know. I love them and I've loved them for some time now so, if there are any fans out there, show up and let's drool about them here!

i like them but music by them is hard for me to come by.

Really? How so? I think their music rocks! I had never found someone who found it hard to come by. ☝ Which songs have you heard?

i think their music is good too. but its hard to find places to download music by them.

Yeah, they are now usually available easily on the net. I downloaded some of their stuff when Napster and Audiogalaxy were the way to go to get music from internet, but now I usually buy their CDs when they release them. Now that I can buy on the internet, I try to order them and I'm trying to slowly get my hands on all of their albums because I simply love them.

YES! They are very catchy. I really can't get them off of my head after I listen to them!

I specially like the rapped parts. It's a big challenge to try and sing them!

I don't know if you've heard of it, but it seems M.O.V.E. will be release a new single on June 20th. The name of the album, according to CDJapan, is "Systematic Fantasy / Good Day Good Time" and it seems they will include those two songs, that are completely new ones (they are not part of their last album, at least).
