I'm Phillip from the Philippines and I'm glad I found this forum. I found my interest in Japan and its culture when I finished the anime Samurai X which somehow your very colorful history and I admired how you value respect. I also love your food and usually when I eat in buffet, I look for teriyakis, makis, tempuras and other food. I had a Japanese exchange student as a neighbor before too. One thing I noticed is he ate a lot!
Anyway, I would like to take the opportunity to seek advice and help in my new venture. I'm a businessman here and we are providing food which caters mostly to students in one of the most prestigious universities in the Philippines. I'm now considering to start a new venture, which entails:
1. online English tutorials (video)
-since I stay here in an academic community, we have access to highly trained English (and other subjects) teachers/tutors which could help in honing the skills of interested students and professionals alike. We know that being able to communicate well in English is a major advantage in your career.
2. import and export
-I know you have amazing products that are making a big hit in Japan. Why don't we try it here as well? We could arrange shipping and I will be the one to distribute it here in the Philippines. Our country is also rich in products that you may be interested in. If you have any particular choices that you think will be a hit there, we could grab that opportunity.
