According to some site, this is the longest running commercial in Japan: Click me
(It shows a group of women dancing around in some sort of gym suits.)
Now, try to guess what this commercial is for?
What could be the message of the commercial?
When you have this product, ...
- you can pick one of these ladies, with free shipping to your house?
- these ladies will give you a dancing lesson for free?
- you will have a strong urge to see women dancing around?

Is that still running? Wow, that is a long time. It's for a loan shark er loan/credit company. I guess if you get a loan from them, you can afford to go see lithe dancing women, at least for a little while. So I think your first answer is correct.

That commercial is extremely famous and I remember when some members of Smap got on TV and danced with the ladies from both sets of commercials to try and mimic it, etc..anyway, it was good stuff.

"Summ summ summ... Summ summ summ... sumsumsumsuhhhm..." and so on. ("Summ" is the sound e.g. a bee is making, so it's as if they were singing "buzz buzz buzz" in English.)
That's a commercial for a car. No idea why they have to sing such retarded stuff...

Are you talking about Mazda? I actually like that ad. That kid looks very familiar to me, just like one of those Jewish kids who lives on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.

Would make the most sense to me... then again, it's not the best idea to look for sense in the often mangled Engrish

Commercial theme songs reminds me of my good old days back home.

They'd been playing some really nostalgic songs that can't help but sing
along or hum Guess most Japanese listeners or viewers don't have an idea of how cool or great those songs are and the history or era that goes with each song .

I like the Rod Stewart's song (can't remember right now) and
Joe Cocker's,You are so Beautiful.
