umm... on the topic of the flow of Kagrra,'s albums...
it's very true, however very purposfull...
Gozen it's self is actually a story album (i can't remeber the technical term). the lyrics tell a story and i can't remeber exactly what about... hebi'll probably know ^^; (or find out? *onegaishimasu?*)
but... certainly in theri indies days at least, every album would have spacific 'theam'
so all the lyrics are on the same general topic, adn the music is written to compliment it's self...
this is why each album of Kagrra,'s is so different... becasue each time they have a new theam, and differetn starting point...
adn they used to chage the main music writers too...
eg. kiramkeki was a Nao+Izumi one... and... i think Sakura was a Shin+Akiya one... but i'm not 100%
 
Part of the problem is that now it's almost impossible to know what people mean when they use the word "gay" to describe something. At some point it became another form of expressing dislike towards something. For example:

"What do you think of this song?"

"It's gay."

That doesn't necessarily mean it's a happy song, nor does it mean it's homosexual (which wouldn't make sense in this context, anyway); it just means... "I don't like it." When and why did this happen? I don't know. I just assume it's all a part of society's neverending decline towards total lack of reading comprehension, apathy towards grammatical accuracy, and illiteracy in general.

And... since I don't want to get in trouble with the admins for taking this way off topic, I'd like to say that I'm anxious for the new Kagrra album. All I needed to hear was "Utakata" to be so excited. You really can't go wrong with the combination of the koto and a string section.

I still refuse to listen to it, I'll only become more impatient for the rest of the album.

~san~ was a really anxioty pusher for me...
Kagrra, have always made good songs, there's no denying it...
but the run up to ~San~ was worying for me... they seemed to be going towards a 'pretty' style, and further away from the 'rock' that they had in their indies days i i love so much!
(like Yousai, Yami ni Chirikeri... and Kairai no Sou Utsu)

my hope was that they'd take the Gozen style, and the Miyako style and merge them together...
and to my complete and utter joy, they did almost exactly that.
Satsuki is an abolutely GORGEOUS pice, and Meguru has some awsome guitar and bass lines!

Utakata was a great single, the diferences between it and Sakebi are brillient!
it's likie... just when you think you couldn't possibly love a band anymore XD

I haven't done one yet, but I'm planning on doing Nao from this photoshoot. I was originally going to do Shin from the photoshoot you're using, but I didn't want to get even more fabric when I'm nearly broke (Toshiya's Cage costume ate all my cash), so I'm heading out to the thrift stores to see what I can scrounge up.

Tips: Take. It. Slow. And read the directions on the pattern if you're using one. I made the mistake of not doing that and though it's alright, it's not as good as it could have been. Also, make sure the measurements are at least three to four centimetres longer than the measurements they're supposed to be. You need space for seams (usually folded over at least once). However, as it is a kimono, you will not be needing to measure everything and anything to make it fit. Find a pattern, fabric (non slipery is best, they're ridiculously hard to sew and cut), and adjust the pattern to fit your height. The most dificult thing you'll be doing is the obi. You'll need to figure out how much of the fabric you need (buying a length half that, cutting it in half sewing the two together and then folding the whole thing in half lengthwise makes the most sense) and then figure out how to tie it. I'm sorry if I'm overloading you with advice. I haven't been cosplaying long, but I've been having my share of troubles with my own cosplays and want to keep you from having to deal with them. (I have a skirt I can get lost in to hem up. Again. )

i'm havinf a kimono made for me, lol, it seems liks a bt of a waist now that i'm planning on making one myself... XD

unless i just coz Isshi and have that one made for me... make the Obi myself (cos i'm having a corset made with that one)... then i can foccus on my Gravitation and Pokemon cozplays.... *ponders*

... that seems liks a bit of a copout though >.<

o, and if you need anymore pics of that photoshoot i have a bundle... it's a really great one, i wish you luck for making it and such~!
 
The pattern isn't really necessary for a kimono, it's simple enough and there are pseudo-patterns on the web with instructions anyway. You really just need the base shape of the individual pieces of fabric and the way they fit together.

Ah yes, hair. I need to dye mine so it's darker for that one. Figuring out the hairstyle is going to be a bit difficult. I'll probably need to cut my bangs. *pouts* Or rather, cut bangs into my hair as mine are currently about at shoulder height.

Isshi would probably be more dificult. Izumi's is a simple colour and the white bits can be created easily (drops of bleach can work wonders). Also, the hair is much easier than Isshi's hair.

I have individual full-body shots of Nao, and Isshi in colour from that shoot along with bust photos of Akiya, Nao, and Shin. The rest I have in black and white.

Thank you, but I think I'm going to raid a thrift shop for cheap orange clothes since I can scrounge up the rest. (I just need to get the sleeves and top for Toshiya done soon and get the wig so I can style it. )
 
hmm... you're right...

though, i may very well have to go with a wig for this one... because hy natural hair my be required otherwise ^^;
although, i've been thinking... baybe if i did this coz:

the hair is a LOT simpler... as is the yutaka design... except the material... i don't know how i'd get something like that unless i embrioded it... and i am NOT good at embroidering.... unless i gut some dye's and painted it... still, it'd probably bleed out >.<
