Hey guys, long time no see. This is my first post in weeks!!

I want to post on here more and stuff, but I never get around to it.

For one, is it normal to start to lose interest in Japan? I haven't studied the language in a while, because of school. Plus, I am taking French 1 now. I love French by the way!! I haven't learned a lot, but I am getting there.

Well guys, it's good to be back, and I hope to have many debates!! (fun ones) ^_^

Yeah, but I love watching Japanese Dramas, Anime, Japanese Girls!! (Sugoi Desu Ne?!?!?!) I just don't want that desire of Japan to leave.

haha. of course you can become bored of something you once liked, even if it's a whole country or culture. It's human nature. I'm always buying cd's out here and getting dead bored of them for a while...the interests come back. just give it time. Get into french if that's what makes you happy now... you'll still come back loving Japanese things even more.

HAVE YOU HEARD THE "JREF" CURSE ??

I heard it through the grapevine! Many poor fomer members who lost interest in JREF have had terrible things happen to them and their loved ones.

Frank, this curse is bullshit. I left JREF for some month and even didn't bother to READ posts, and nothing happend too me.

I suppose it's like they say "Bad things won't happen to bad people (or demons, and I'm the latter)"

I heard they become like den4 and discover they know absolutely nothing!

on a serious note, it is possible to become so obsessed with something that one naturally just burns out, leaving a pile of cinder and ash on the ground, leaving your sneakers (or whatever you use for footwear) where you once stood.....this is opposed to the spontaneous combustion that some people are said to do when they leave this forums for good

Try intersecting more with the people, friends, pen pals, whatever, well, with the exception of maybe not girlfriends at your age.... I wouldn't have nearly as much interest if there weren't real life connections sucking me back every few months into the dramas of their lives....
