Have you been to any of these cities and how were they?

I'm considering various colleges. Any input is much appreciated.

1. Gifu
2. Kobe
3. Fukuoka
4. Nagoya
5. Niigata
6. Sendai, Miyagi
7. Yamaguchi

Hey chris where you in Oregon? I'm in Corvallis going to OSU. I haven't been to any of these cities or japan, but i know someone from Yamaguchi. Any particular questions and i can ask him. I'm kind of his English tutor.

I'm in Ashland, graduated from SOU not long ago. Basically, I'm pretty interested in all of the traditional and cultural aspects of Japan, but I also like partying and would like to be somewhere fairly urban with a good nightlife. I'm not at all averse to Tokyo/Osaka/Kyoto, but these are just some of the other places I'm considering.
