Haikyo adventures

Hey all ! Im excited to be here ! most importantly ... IM EXCITED TO RETURN TO TOKYO JAPAN IN APRIL 2011 !! Its been 7 years since I've last visited and Im stoked to finally return ( im stayin in central tokyo for 2 weeks )
As a professional photographer, I wanted to send out an open invite for a 'haikyo adventure' ( abandoned ruins / urban exploration adventure ) down to Nara/Izu to check out the abandoned waterpark/theme parks ...

( yarrgh .. the site isnt allowing me to post the links to the post so i guess in a little bit more time i can post it LOL )

anyhoo ---- i have the coordinates and exact directions to these locations and I am inviting any explorers /photographers in the Tokyo area interested in joining me in the adventures who are looking for rad locations to shoot at ---
Ill be posting, sharing photos on here as well if you would like me too !

Just found your post and wanted to see how you ended up going as I'm trying to line up a Haikyo holiday later this year, but will probably be travelling by myself. Did you happen to find any people or groups who were interested? I'm not really sure where to start with meeting local explorers...

I guess it is safe to assume that he changed his plans after 3/11.

This Haikyo holiday you are trying to line up ! where will your base camp be and the targets you intend to hit during your stay. It's just possible i may be of some small help as I have a holiday home in Saitama

Hihi I'm still just looking at what's around on google, but am hoping to spend about a week or two outside of Tokyo looking at spots. I guess a few of the big places would be ideal but I would also love to try to find some new stuff and maybe do some urban stuff in Tokyo. I'm not quite sure where most of these spots are in relation to eachother, but so far my top priorities are looking like Hotel Royal, The Royal House, The Honourable House of Mr H, Tuberculosis Sanatorium for Children, Maya Hotel and Kappa Onsen Hotel. Kinda keen on the retro interiors more than the military style stuff. Do you explore?

In a (hobby) sense yes, mostly spent as a "path finder" , driver & logistics support for the photographic explorer, now retired. I have hit the big age of 64.

Kudos, I hear transport is about the hardest thing to organise. Have you seen much stuff that's around over there? I got lucky last time and found a love hotel and would love to see something else like this next time around... Facebook Anyway, I'll continue to try and work out a map to follow and will keep this post updated
