Hey everyone i just wanted to share something i found. Well i'm sure most of you know of Google Earth, but i recently found out how great and powerful it is. I've been creating placemarks and such and have created a file. If your interested then check out one of my blogs to download it.

You can see lots of baseball ghosts along the tamagawa river in Tokyo.
 
I don't know how many riverside ball game parks in total there are, but they are still used to play.

Probably you've already known it, but the google boundary looks interesting.

I just put up version 2.10 i included a readme and everything explaining how things work. definitely some good improvements. Look at the place marks in Tokyo to see the new pop-up bubbles. let me know what you think.

This place is a school in Google Earth right now (you can see some cherry blossom).

But the local city office, Shibuya ward office, turns it into a billions yen worth public farming place for residents from May 31.
Probably you can see happy amateur farmer's faces in the next version of Google Earth.

I am not a resident there and I totally agree with the importance of green in the downtown, so I cannot say much.

I don't understand. Do you mean they sell garden plants? I don't see how they could farm there. Is there any links to websites with more information.

I should have said the city office keeps the land next to the school for giving farming opportunities to their residents. It is, of course, cheap to lend the land.
I saw a happy resident said that she would plant sunflower seeds there on a TV news. When I see the sunflower, I'm glad to report it here.

I used Google Earth to plan my trip to Japan. I marked hotels, places of interest, calculated distances, etc. It saved so much hassle and gave me thorough understanding of where the various Tokyo wards were in relation to the city.
