Institute asks gov't to use Japanese, not English terms
The National Institute for Japanese Language released in an interim report 63 examples of recommended expressions, including replacing "day service," meaning day care for the elderly, with Japanese words meaning one-day day care.
It also asked the government not to use the English terms or words "informed consent," "capital gain," "barrier free" and "analyst" and instead say them in Japanese.
