Then I'll take Reita and you can't stop me

Has anyone seen Silly God Disco's PV? I saw it yesterday...Ruki's voice has changed....well to me it has...hmmm...and Reita looked really grumpy...Uruha was having the time of his life though!

*laugh* Yup yup. ^^
Okay, sorry if I keep repeating this question..
But since you know a bit about Gazette..
Do you know anything about Mr. Squidgey? ☝

Is it a little cat plushie that one of the members have...I think it Aoi's....I'm a right? I quickly looked at random Gazette websites

that's not true... Dir en grey are coming to America... Dir en grey do come to America! They count! they aren't VK anymore, but they are still rock. And they are 'famous/really good'. I will agree that we need more.... and Free-Will-America is already working on getting another band to the US.. by the looks of it, that band will be Phantasmagoria, who is still -very much- VK. And, I also agree that they need to go to more countries, even if for only a couple of shows. This whole thing with the Japanese bands not getting into non-Asian countries is bull-**** (excuse my language ), even if it is NOT their fault, they could at least make an effort to show fans that they are trying, and then the fans could help them, ne? I mean, Hana in Plaid *looks at her*, Godisinvincible *looks at her, too*, if you two knew that Gazette and other JRock bands were activly trying to go to your countries and perform, would you try and increase the fanbase so that they would have a better chance at success? Because, more often than not, if a band is trying to do concerts/a tour in a foreign country, especially with a massive language barrier, they will run into 'sorry, you don't have a large enough fanbase.' as the answer from everyone. Increase the fanbase, and you will help the bands... and the existing fans. If the band gets to do a show, and a lot of the fans get to go to said show, chances are, it will shock the bigwigs who said that they didn't have a big enough fanbase, and they will be welcomed back... this is because the bigwigs are seeing dollarsigns (or whatever currency marker is used in your country) instead of ethnicity. they start thinking about how much money that many people are going to make them, as opposed to the language barrier like before. that is a lot written at one time, so... just something to think about. I have a tendency to go on and on when I start ranting.... <.<;;; sorry~!

Woah!! the rant was extreamly welcome XDD what you just said is so true!! (im gonna have to re-read it tomorrow when im more awake, but yeah!!) but how would you make the right people hear what you want them to hear - in this case getting J-rockers to come to countries other than Asia, i mean who would you want to hear? and who would help? (sorry if that makes no sense but hey!!)

Thank you. and, don't worry, it makes perfect sense. *nods*
As for the answers to your questions, just start out with your friends and family. Find out what they like in music, get them to listen to something that fits their criteria (shouldn't be too hard to do, there is a little of everything out there, ne?). Keep in mind, this will probably be a LOT easier to do with your friends than your family members, and pictures of bands are a good way to get a conversation going in the direction of JRock. Anyway, next use the band who was mentioned as having 'a good song' to your advantage. Work off of that. go to another band with some of the same qualities, and keep doing that. believe it or not, all the JRock bands tie together in one way or another. if they appear to be losing interest, change it. also, show them the diversity of the bands. play something soft and something hard. and something with drastic vocal changes so that they can hear the amazing ranges that japanese bands have. when they get a band that they like, they will start searching for more, just like we did. everyone does. they want to know how much more they can get. they will also do the same thing to their friends and family, and it will go on and on. <.<; i'm sorry to say that this is the only method i have come across as being able to increase the sizes of jrock fanbases. *sighs* as for who will help... everyone will. in this job, no one is too small or incignificant! :haihai: everyone counts! we start small, and the more people we get hooked, the more they will get hooked, and it is one giant chain-reaction. and then, when sales for these bands in non-Asian countries go up considerably, the bands will see that they have a large fanbase in said countries. they will go to them and will fight very hard for shows. when they get the shows and the venue owners/workers see how many people turn up for them, the bands will be set. more venues will be wanting them to go and perform in their halls. the bands won't be stupid enough to say 'no' to the fans, and the venues won't be seeing anything except how much money they are making from having the bands. but, the answer to your question is: you want everyone to hear. you want them to hear things that they would like. play something for them that they could listen to, and not be stuck on the fact that it is in Japanese. play something where the message is clear even without knowing the language. every band has at least a couple songs that fit that, use them. and if anyone is more concerned about what the music sounds like, as opposed to the lyrics, that is even better. you can find plenty of things to fit any music style. if you have problems locating a specific style, let me know, and i will try and get something to you, kk? any and everyone is who should be targeted. armies are stronger with more numbers, not so much the size of the soldiers. this is an army, but we don't fight with guns and bombs... we fight with music and videos. and we don't fight for race or religion... we fight for bands. we fight because they deserve a chance to be seen and heard, and we want to give them that chance. *dramatic pose*.... ok.. i'm done doing that now... <.<; sorry.. i had to. though, i think i may be on to something with that whole 'army' bit, ne? anyway, if you have any more questions, or if i didn't explain something right, let me know.

^^ woah thanks dirus_ninjou that sounds like a really great sorta thing to do!! although im still not entierly sure how the groups find out that we want them in our countries XDD or maybe i should just re-read when im more awake!!! XD

don't forget, D'espairsRay and Phantasmagoria have come to America too.
and so has BLOOD, i think.
unless you already said that and i wasn't paying attention as usual.
;]
it would be so great to see Gazette here <3

jamie_kay, your avatar makes me 'lol'

jamie_kay: their managers know the sales rates for the merchandise, and if sales are up in one area, they will look into going to that area... unless they are stupid, in which case, the band members will look into it. the whole situation is basically a matter of profit. if they see that people are willing to order their stuff in, they will be more willing to try for concerts and tours in foreign countries. the only reason i have managed to come to that conclusion is the fact that for the most part, after a spike of sales in a foreign country the band that was subject to those sales has gone to the country the sales were made to. if that wasn't quite clear, i'm sorry.. i tried to word it as best i could, but couldn't think of a better way.

Sea Monster Spit: on my initial rant, i said Phantasmagoria.... there are a TON of JRock bands that need to come here, including D'espairsRay, BLOOD, 12012, D, Rentrer en soi, Vidoll, SADS, Siva, Ghost, and plenty of others... i just didn't want to go through the trouble of listing them all , and Phantasmagoria are already working with FWA to get a couple shows here in the US, if not a full tour. personally, i would like for about 5 or 6 JRock/VK bands to get together and make arangments to come to the US and tour together... just them... no American bands in the line-up... <.<; well, they may end up having to get one American band to be their sponser/headliner, just so that the venues will allow it, but other than that, no American bands. i mean, it's not like there isn't several instances where -our- bands go to Japan and tour with one or two of their bands as opening acts, so why can't they do the same, ne? or am i the only one who thinks it a little messed up that they are always willing to let our bands go there and tour, while our bands are too stuck up to let them open for one of their american tours? *gives KoRn more points for letting Diru join FV* For example, just last year (or the year before, not sure exactly which.. ) between 7 and 10 of our bands, including Simple Plan, toured in Japan as opening acts for one of their bands. As of yet, the only American band who has taken the liberty of asking a Japanese band to open for them has been KoRn, and they weren't even part of that tour! it's sad, really. if the American bands and venues would open their eyes, and clean the **** out of their ears, they would realize that we WANT these bands to come and play in our countries.
*loses train of thought and re-reads posts*...they have? *shrugs* i didn't know that.. i just knew that Phantasmagoria has been working with FreeWill to get shows here.... they one a vote that was on the FWA site, so that is why they have been working on it recently.
anyway, what i was getting at was the fact that there are plenty of bands that need to come to the US, including those mentioned above, and Gazette. the only way to get them here is to make sure that more people want them here, meaning increase the fanbase. we create fans, fans create sales, sales create shows. it will seem like a long and slow process, but as long as we keep our eye on the goal, and don't lose hope, then it won't be that bad.

omg....diru ninjou, you should be a politician (I'll vote for you)...your posts are long and good but o my *.* I keep getting lost...and it's ONLY 10 pm right now. for the last three of your posts I get mad because I want to read it but it's so darn long! O weel but at least they are berri informative! I'll use your strategy to get a whole bunch of people to heart gazette!!!

Godisinvincible: Can I have Reita's materialistic things? I'll let you have him but I want his stuffies! (ie: clothes, nose bandana, guitars, equipment....skills?)

I like that name....Mr. Squidgey....I have a new name for one of my toys!! Where is that thing? Can someone give me a link? Are there any more weird stuff on it?

; ... sorry about that, Mizzinsanitybutt.... I can try and make them shorter, but that would only make you even more lost... my train of thought moves really quickly, and if i don't keep up, or if i skip some of it, i have a tendency to lose people even quicker.... maybe i can put up summeries of the rants when they are that long... <.<; i think that is what i will start doing. i will post a simple summery of the rant at the end of each rant-post, that way, if you get lost in the actual rant, you can read the summery and get the jest of what was said, kk? *tries to help* by the way, my laughing at the begining wasn't me trying to be mean or anything, i just find it really ironic because i hate getting involved in politics.. but thank you, nonetheless. give me a bit and i will attempt to make summeries for the last three posts. ^.^;;;

basically, this is saying that bands have a hard time getting to do shows in foreign countries because those countries will tell them 'you don't have a big enough fanbase'. if we work to increase the fanbase, we can help the bands get into our countries. basic equation for this: fans=money=venues=bands.

this one i think people can understand.. it is basically just the stratagy for increasing JRock fanbases, as i have used so far in OKC, and it works, whether you see it or not.... and then it goes on to say that we should get as many people as we can to listen to JRock songs. there is NO unworthy person. if they can hear, or feel sound, they should be given a chance to experience the wonder that is JRock.

bands know that their fanbase is growing when their managers notice a considerable sales increase to any given area. when that happens, they try and get shows in that area. more american bands need to let the Japanese bands go on their tours, like the Japanese do for the Americans. and as fans of JRock, we need to be trying to get as many bands over here as possible, not just limit ourselves to trying to get one or two of our favorites.

............. wow you write a lot but then again i do to (just not for posts) well like you i only post long stuff when im on a rant too (which i havent yet thank god) cause that post would last a long time my rants gon& on& on &on &on &on &on i having a mini rant right now about having a rant lol but right now i have nothing else to do later today im going to six flags but ill try to get on when i come home like i said ill try see you

So does this give me an excuse to buy more JRock stuff? Hehehehe...

Sigh* Right now my main focus is Gazette, D'espairsRay, Dir En Grey, and Miyavi. But I really need to start getting into other bands. Rentrer En Soi, SID, and Kagerou all sound pretty good but I need to find time to dig for more songs. Hehehe if I like them I usually start buying all their CDs and stuff

Have you tried Malice Mizer? I think that they're good..thoough they doesn't sound like Gazette at all....
