lol, Aoi and tweets doesnt go together and Aoi is making a big fool of himself (not that I already didnt know he is a bit stupid, but anyway)...lol to be jealous of a hologram...you know, not like their target audiences were totally different....

that ruki cosplayer is amazing...I think I saw her photos already, but I guess I thought it was ruki...
 
I have one more but she has dark glasses so I couldn't see her properly...Aoi stupid? uhm...

haha he did, but according to the article I read he deleted it immediately along with a few other tweets (the website had pictures of the tweet though) xD

Thanks for the link ninja bunny..(I love your name) ^_^ Now I understand more of what's going on. And I have to say I agree with Aoi. I feel the same, but maybe he shouldn't have said it in that way...even though the whole masturbation comment made me lol. XD He was just expressing his opinion..in a not so smart way considering he's a famous person and should think about what he writes on his twitter. I don't see why people are making such a big deal about it. So he doesn't like Vocaloid and think it's crap..so what?
I don't think him expressing his opinion makes him stupid nor jealous..just honest.

Personally, I think in the beginning Aoi was merely expressing his opinion but it slowly moved to a complaint (from "I don't think Vocaloids are all that great" to "They shouldn't be classed with us, it's insulting" [basic summary xD])

I also think that he's a little hypocritical -- he doesn't like when others criticize what he does musically and yet he pretty much puts down the people who work with Vocaloids (though in the end, he does admit to liking certain songs)

But I kind of see it both ways--though Aoi is free to express his own opinions, he should realize that in the end, he's from an influential band and the things he says does hold a certain impact on many people, especially when he uses the "us" term in his tweets (Ex: ""what is the point in us making music?" )

hehe but that's just my two cents on things Sorry for the huge speech, I have a tendency to rant
 
I do agree with you, and like I said, he should really think twice about how he express himself and shouldn't talk sh*t about the people who works with vocaloids. I don't think real bands and artists should be compared with vocaloids at all, because it's two totally different things. They are both making music, but I don't think it's comparable.

You don't have to like it, but you can't deny that the people who made Miku did a good job in making something unique. But the funny thing is that it's not the people who made her that gets popular, it's Miku herself, and she's just a program. But people talk about her like she's a real person, and that's a little weird. She doesn't have to think about performance, her voice, writing songs, looking good and all that, cause she's not real, while real bands have to think about all that, and they have to compete against a perfect computermade girl. Who wouldn't get a little upset? XD Maybe real artists feel threatened? I don't know.

I'm sorry too..I had a lot to say about this. XD
 
well, maybe it is problem for us to see miku as a real person, but for japanese, who grow up among manga (and some of them anime as well), which are graphic media, its really not so difficult to accept a hologram as a real person, I think. And there are real ppl behind her, who made the actual music, therefore...
I think Aoi is stupid, but not because of this comment, I always thought so. I just dont like him (sorry ). And as Ninja Bunny said, he should think more about what he says to public, because it can be easily misinterpreted.

Sweetie that is human nature. It isn't limited to Aoi alone . Almost all of us are like that whether we know it or not. I bet he wouldn't like it if someone made fun of Chopper.

Aoi is free to express his opinion ( and I agree with him Vocaloids do suck ) I've never met any Japanese fans of vocaloids but the western ones are annoying sometimes. But in the end it's a lot of work gone in to make them for the people who like them. Yes he has the freedom of speech but he could have said it like " I don't like vocaloids because of their synthesized voices. Natural voices are nicer " not gone off about masturbation etc -_-
Though he is my fav member I agree with Ol he is dumb at times . Idk if someone annoyed him about vocaloids and he took to Twitter to rant.

ahhh i just looked it up myself. there's this anime that has that, an automated vocalist program as a character who sings.

wow, really? someone please make up a topic then. When I saw them live, Ruki made a joke at Reita's expense, Kai and Uruha were laughing so hard I wish that I knew what he said. X_X

I just saw the Pledge comment vid. I laughed..I don't know why, but they look super serious, except Aoi, he looks amused. XD I don't like it when they're so serious, it looks like they don't even want to be there, or they're in their own little world. XD

In comparison to the past, they've gained quite a large fan base (so they've gotten more busy) and have grown more mature, hence (why I feel) is the reason they're more mellow and don't seem to really play and joke around like they used to.
