oo Kaine i'm with ya there.. hm..Reita is not my fav.

how can Kai be the leader when he was in fact not in the band when it was created and only came in when Yune disbanded from Gazette? I think the correct leader is Ruki, and I have no idea why Kai would be considered the leader

Someone in their official site replied that he is officially stated leader. Yes, he came later after yune but after that, he voluntered to be leader and Gazette accepted that.. hope this will clear it up. before kai, gazette had no leader

so Kai is the leader.... no wonder why in Gazette clips Kai does most of the talking... usually its the vocalist that is the "leader" of the band...

leader can be guitarist, bassist, not necessarily the vocalist of the band ^_^

heehheeh oops just what i'm used to seeing

But Kai's not a bad choice for a leader... he talks alot in his clips and he's so loveable...though i still haven't been getting too much info on Gazette yet...

They seem to be gaining in popularity over here in the states yet with online stores such as cdjapan pushing their products and making them artist of the whatever. Hopefully this will speed up info channels on them just a wee bit more.

I think all of Gazette looks good... but I would like to get to know more of their "personalities" and music... it sucks to just base your opions on their looks...that's why i really like youtubing clips of bands i like because i find random videos that kind of go behind the scenes and shows you the different side of the members...

Hence the reason why I joined a forum its really the only way i really can get a majority of my info on new bands anymore. : D Which is wonderfull because otherwise I never would have heard of Gazette at all, and if I did i pprobably would have skipped them by.

Yeah I know those videos are really nice!!! I dont like to base my opinions only on their looks!!! but up to now I think I can choose a fav one hahaha still I think all of them have cute personallities

Yup yup. Looks can only go so far before their sucky personallities start to wear on you But with Gazette you really luck out in all of the departments I think thats why I caught on so fast (that and their ripping tunes)

But you know picking your new band based on looks isnt bad. In fact i think getting into bands based on looks can be a good thing. Its wither you continue to like the band for only their looks is when it gets ugly.

Agree because I have to accept that at first I got caught form their looks then I loved the music and still like the way they look!! But if you havent heard anything of a band I think one of the first things you notice are the clothing hair etc... but as you said liking a band only for their looks is sooo not cool

yep, It kind of annoys me when people get all angry because you get into a band by their looks.

Well ...

I live all the way across the ocean from them, youtube dosent work for me, i cant hear their stuff on the radio, what im into or know about generally my friends are into and allready know about how else am i supposed to get introduced to them? And besides a groups look can say a whole heck of a lot about their style. I mean you dont see kei bands playing country.

I totally agree...for me I really can't get into a band unless i like their work.. even if they look good... right now my favorite JRocker is Miyavi... back then i totally thought he was HOT but i didn't like his music so i totally ignored him for a year or so.. but i finally came around... fell in love with his music and now i'm totally Miyavi obsessed!!

I admit i got interested in Gazette for their looks, but i'm really trying to get into their work and them in general as individuals....

indeed, I think ive already stated my main thoughts on the subject above but what you said about putting him down for a year kind of made me think of the other side of the story as well.

When I first got into diru it was because of looks and to tell the truth their music wasnt THEE hottest thing on my sterio. BUt I think its looks that made me hang in their long enough to develope a tatse for their music and im so glad i did because now i know how much id be missing out on. Luckily with gazette that didnt happen tho'

Well, I personally don't care who the leader is. As long as they make good music, I'm happy.

I kind of forgot how I got into Gazette, or rock music at all. I think I saw a picture somewhere online, and instead of going, "Oooh, I love their outfits, they're good-looking!".....I quickly shut the computer window, and blushed for like, ten minutes. For some reason, I thought rock and visual kei was embarrassing. Then one day I got the courage to look up the band I saw again, and listened to a music sample. Now I like those outfits (though I wouldn't wear them), hahahah. And I love rock music.
