I haven't listened to all of it yet, but here's what I've heard so far and what I think...

First impression - I honestly don't know how some people don't like it. I think it's great so far. And Ruki's English has got a little better. And I have to applaud him. He pronounced 'masquerade' perfectly and I know that some Japanese people have problems pronouncing 'q' (like 'r').

Art Drawn By Vomit Um...possibly the strangest song I've ever heard.

Agony I LOVE this song. And in parts Ruki's accent sounds more English than American (and I know they learn American English in Japan). His English was way clearer in this than it has been in some other songs (*cough*Silly God Disco*cough*).

Hyena I actually wasn't that keen on this song when I first heard it but I like it now.

Burial Applicant I love the music in this song, even though the scrathes get a little annoying. I lik eit as much as I did the first time I heard it (a few days ago, lol).

ﾆ狸ﾆ停?愴淡ﾆ湛窶堙可紅窶堋｢ﾃ･Kﾃ･N Reminded me of Namaatatakai ame tozaratsuita jounetsu. And I love that song, lol. I can't decide which one I like better.

Regret Same with Hyena, I thought it was decent when I first heard it but I really like it now. It must sound better coming out of proper speakers, as opposed to my crappy laptop one. The rythm also reminds me a little of Gack's Kimi ga oikaketa yumi.

Calm Envy Love, love, LOVE this song. It's like Stacked Rubbish's Cassis (which almost makes me tear up everytime I read the lyrics).

With the overwhelming amount of hairspray and other hair products the members of Gazette use to get the gravity defying hair, I think they are personally responsible for one BIG GAPING hole in the ozone layer. LOL

But what the heck. Their hair are always awesome!

Ya...he was doing an interview with YTV (kids television station....has well edited anime with sucky dubs on Friday ). I missed it, but I remember when watching a few days before, the host of YTV was going INSANE! He was so excited it scared me alot!

@ BayMannen lol Hairstyles like that seem to have become somehwat popular here (but none of them actually....look good....only Jrockers seem to pull it off nicely). We even have a special gel called Manga Gel! It's expensive, looks like barf, has the consistency of old milk, but smells fruity fresh!

LMAO! That's it. You just found the answer to global warming; band JRockers from using hairspray.

And...I love Reita's hair so I found a style that looks feminine AND if I brush it over to the side, gell it or use loads of hairspray it will look like Reita's! Problem solved .

@Gazettastic I don't think it's so much different from the central Gazette 'style'. The difference is what you would see from the natural (or otherwise) progression of any band. For example, listen to songs from Disturbed's Believe album and then listen to tracks from Ten Thousand Fists. The songs seem more polished, the sound sharper, and more modern elements are woven into the music. Another example...Nightwish. Their 'Once' material is so much different than their 'Angels Fall First' material yet they have the same basic style (though their new album seems to be going back to a more un-polished metal sound, unless the demos just sound different). I think it's mainly the vocals that changed. They sound more...western (though the Burial Applicant vocals, esp. on the chorus, sound more Eastern). And I guess the fact that a lot of the lyrics are in English (more so than usual) makes it seem different, too.
But the scratches do get annoying.

Anyway, now that I'm back (and Die Hard 4 is REALLY good...go see it!) I'll listen to the rest of it and see what I think. Um...after I listen to Calm Envy once more, lol. Ruki really must be something special; his voice sounds great both soft and when he's screaming. Not many people have that kind of voice.

EDIT: Ok, my opinions on the rest of the songs...

Swallowtail On The Death Valley Something tells me that I shouldn't be liking this song but I really do, lol. It's catchy. Very catchy. And...naughty Ruki . Lmao.

MOB 136 BARS Awesome intro :. Dives right into it. Very fast-paced. Slightly Metallica-y riffs (early Metallica, like Master of Puppets). Not as much a headbanging song as DISCHARGE but still awesome ^_^. My only complaint...it's not long enough! I could totally air guitar and headbang to this song, lol.

Gentle Lie Yet another catchy song. With a title like 'Gentle Lie', I was expecting them to do the opposite and have a loud, blaring song. BUt it's really...summer-y. A summer-y rock song, lol. The kind of song you can just kick back and relax to without sending you to sleep.

Filth In The Beauty Heh, what can I say? I loved this song when I first heard it and I still do now. If there ever was a song to sum up Visual Kei (wild looks, anything from pop-y rock to death metal), this would be it. Sounds beutiful but there's that sense of decadence (if that even makes any sense :S). It sounds like it would make an awesome live song (as in experiencing it live, not listening to a live version of it). Sing it! "Your seed and my seed never mixes". Haha.

Circle of Swinder Somehow the title reminds me of pirates, lol. I love the music (especially the drum beat) and there's a bit with just the drums and bass playing. That's what I love about the GazettE; they showcase all of their instruments, a lot of bands just focus on vocals and guitars and the bass is rarely heard of. They actually showcase Reita's talent! I'm thinking he's the best bassist I've heard but he's probably the only bassist I've been able to hear play clearly, lol. Whatever, the guy's got talent that can't be denied.

千鶴 This song is so damn catchy that I had it stuck in my head after just one listen! I still love it now. It's kind of haunting. Songs like this just make me love Gazette even more. They have songs that sound 'fun' and then they have tracks like this which really stand out in all their seriousness.

People Error Ok, I take it back. THIS is haunting. It's something you would expect to hear during the end sequence of a Silent Hill game. Even the artwork in the booklet reminds me of Silent Hill, lol. Beautiful.

Overall Impression - I really liked it. I don't know if I would say that it is better than NIL, because they are both great in their own ways. Some of the hip-hop influence is a little annoying (the scratches!) but fortunately that's not really much of an issue. And I liked the slight R&B-ness of Filth in the Beauty's intro. It was a nice contrast. I think the album highlights what's best about the GazettE; focusing equally on all instruments so it's not guitar-led rock (which can get old quick. Loud, angry riffs are usually only cool the first few times you hear them), and the balance between 'fun'-sounding songs and more serious ones. Whether you like it or not, Stacked Rubbish literally has everything.

@BlackSoul Thanks . I was thinking of doing that, too. I've been messing around with the layout of my blog and I keep deleting entries so I was thinking of restarting it and posting reviews of stuff on there as well as any ramblings. Stacked Rubbish could be the first .
And my hair got WAY silky after I started getting it dyed, too. I wish it would start getting thicker, though. It always lies really flat on top and waves ta the bottom.
And yes, Nightwish! Awesome band. I love their drummer (I love you too Kai, but Jukka's got amazing skill!).

I was listening to Chizuru again earlier (like REALLY listening to it) and I didn't realise before how good Ruki's vocals are on it. I don't think I've heard them sound that good before. I thought they were good on Cassis (I love the vocals on that song, it sounds like he really sings it from the heart)...
Maybe smoking has a reverse effect on Ruki, lol. But still, he should stop. His voice will change for the worse one day and that will be a very sad day .
I actually like Ruki more after listening to this CD, lol. No idea why.

They all improved lots, of course .
Its true that a lot of fans ( yes, it includes me too ) have to get to know Ruki's more English songs . They sound more western too, not only by vocals, but the rythm and stuff . I love them all, though <3 ^^

Ruki's vocals in Chizuru, are just great . Of course they're always great, but in that song, it makes me shiver so much .

I started to love Ruki more, after watching NLSG for the second time ^^;

About Stacked Rubbish
My 2 favorite songs are Definitly Burial Applicant and Calm Envy
At the beginning of Calm envy it sounds really calm and catchy but in the middle is so beautiful, especially when the girl starts singing and Ruki's voice is SOOO amazing *__*!! <33

In Burial applicant everything sounds Awesome >w<!!

I can't stop singing Burial Applicant :S. Which is really weird because I don't know the words, lol. I just keep singing "Die for me, for me" (sometimes with "You can't save it") over and over again. My mother must think I'm nuts :S. And I've had my headphones on all day and I keep singing random Japanese phrases that I recognise. Well, I say Japanese but it's more like random sounds that vaguely resemble Japanese, heh (For example: "Shoo-ah Foo-weenie") .

Ahhh nooooo my hair is much too short to braid like that- my hair doesn't really even touch my shoulders.

@FrostPixie- I know how that goes, I listen to Japanese so much sometimes I even think in Japanese @.@. Or when I'm driving with my friends I'll think i'm in Japan and stuff like that and i'll look around and point to an american and be like 'Gaijin" and they'll just look at me really weridly.
