I've got the Disorder album too - I'll try and UL that as soon as I can. *loses track* (and to re-UL Wakaremichi)
 
I don't have a favourite Gazette song..
I kind of just listen to one over and over and over again for a while and then move on to another.. kinda like a cycle.

Nah... I just get emotional whenever I get new stuff of my favorite bands... I cry over like the heaviest of songs sometimes...
 
I rarely get emotional... Unless you count laughing until I cried at the Yatta PV... No, I tell a lie - I got emotional at the Regret live duet. I don't even know why! It was just... well, just the music I guess... it was so..... uhhh..... emotional... :? Oh, and the intro to Ao (Renai version) always gets me a bit. But they're the only 2, and I don't really count PVs because they're not pure audio.
 
I cried the other day when my Dir en Grey Kimon PV collection came in the mail... I hugged it and cried like it was my newborn child or something...

I get emotional over everything... but not in front of people.

OMG... AHHHHHH... I feel all Diru refreshed... I love Diru! I love Diru! I love Diru! Eeeeeeeeeee!!!! *tackles Kaoru* aww man... Kaoru is so dorky... I didn't know there were making ofs on the dvd... and I found a hidden bonus video on the dvd too of Kaoru's Myaku remix that video is so... ☝ ........... *doesn't know how to describe it*
 
Hey, what do you guys think about the whole "Gazette is supposed to be the new Dir en Grey" thing? ;/
I don't think much of it. I think it isn't true at all. They're so freaking different.

I browsing this other conversation and they're saying that Gazette are copycats.. and that Diru changed their look because everyone was 'copying' them ( But that's actually not why the changed anyway, so ehh.. )

No - I don't have the whole discography, unfortunately. I only have what I have uploaded on here (Disorder was my last "batch"). So if you can upload stuff, I will dance with considerable happiness!


Gazette, the new Dir en Grey? :? Well, I hadn't heard that (which signifies nothing because I never keep up with anything that is going on...)... do you mean looks or sound? Their sound is really different! But your last para seems to imply it was more of a looks thing. :? That's a bit weird... they don't look much like, as far as I can tell... ... I guess there are some similarities in "image" but nowhere near so much that I would ever have thought of them as "copycat". I know that Diru had change from "visual" to non-visual... and Gazette seem to be still visual (is that right? *is woefully outdated*)... but even when Diru were visual, they were a different kind of visual from Gazette... At least, they seem different to me. *is confused*

Actually, they're saying both looks /and/ sound; but yeah, the last part did imply more to their looks. But they're not copycats in either looks or sound anyway... They're entirely different in both.. Jeez. Sure, there are some freaking similarties, but you'll find similarities in just about any comparison with any bands. =_= The whole thing is kinda tarnishing Gazette's rep.. T_T
Everywhere I go it says that - when people are reccomending things, especially (eg - If you like Dir en Grey, you'll like this too! BECAUSE THEY'RE THE NEW DIR EN GREY, DON'TCHAKNOW!); or when they're trying to blame the reason Diru's going in a new direction just because they don't like their new stuff.

Errr... ok... I don't know where to start... so much Gazette... Maybe by finding all my cds I'll get started on it now.

as to Gazette being the "new Dir en grey" i disagree. yes, they have similarities, but they are also VERY different. i've heard that before, though. i mean, as far as similarities go, okay, so they're both jrock bands, they both have five hot guys, they both have AMAZING musicians and incredible singers, they both have a great style in both music and dress, and the singers both happen to enjoy feeling themselves up in public. D) other than that, i see no similarities. actually, if Ruki reminds me of anybodey, it's Miyavi. i know that is WAY out there, but it's just because of the way he pronounces certain English words, and the tone of voice he uses when speaking in his songs. also because the effect on his voice in the end of the fourth Disorder song is the same Miyavi uses on his voice when HE is talking in the 13th song of his album Galyuu. ( sorry my brain makes weird connections, but it really is the same in those parts!) but really that's it. not even style or anything. i cannot compare Gazette to anything. i read somewhere once this girls opinion of why they are different from Dir en grey and she said that Gazette, while it sounds a bit similar to Dir en grey, is a lot more FUN. which i agree with. about the fun part, i mean, not the similar part. anyway, it's just that Gazette is a lot more...bouncy. like in the "Anata no Tame no Kono Inochi" PV, Ruki is being really goofy, and Uruha and Aoi are rolling on the FLOOR. AND THEY ALL DO LITTLE DANCES!! Kyo is the only one of Diru who does hand-dances, but ALL of Gazette does their own little dances!! (which is fantastically AWESOME, by the way.) you NEVER see Diru do that kind of thing in their PVs. maybe at concerts, but i'm talking about their PVs and music. Kyo-kun is always very dramatic and serious, and so are the other four. not so much as a smile. that's kind of why Gazette appeals to me. they are less doom and gloom, and more fun. of course Dir en grey will ALWAYS be my favorite band no matter what, but Gazette is fun for when i'm in a really good mood. Diru is fun too, but in a more angsty sense. Gazette is just fun.

And I couldn't possbily agree more! GAZETTE IS FUN. AND I KNOW SO EVEN WITHOUT ANY PVS ( ) 'CUZ THEIR MUSIC SHOWS IT.

Diru's stuff is beautifully dark, I heart it. < 3 They're second favourite after Gazette, whee. ^_~

Gazette is fun, but sometimes they still go into a bit of angsty stuff.. which I really like in band, they cover more variety.. I love how Reila is kind of ..notsohappy but then in the last part there's that little change in sound like a break of sunshine through the rainclouds. Or like a little ray of hope when things are looking down.. Like a little candle flame in the dark... ... ... ... anyway. You get the point. It get's a bit happier... ^^ I really like that effect.

AND WHY MUST YOU ALL USE YSI ON ME? I CAN'T DOWNLOAD ANY OF THE STUFF IN THE OLD POSTS 'CUZ IT'S EXPIRED. So selfish, didn't think of the fact that maybe a new person would come along.. And the whole thing with Soulseek, too... T___T

And I need PVs. Clips. The viewable. REALLY BAD. So yeah. Please please please please please please. I'll be forever ever ever ever grateful. Or like, if you're not into sharing or you find me annoying or you hate me then just look upon it as getting Gazette a more 'full-fledged' fan. DO THE FAVOUR FOR /THEM./

Oh, I forgot to mention that I saw Juunana Sai's PV yesterday... ..... ..... .... call me a dork, but was that Kai on the drums in that song? I never even heard it before, so.. I dunno. And their faces were all in the dark. BUT THEN THERE'S THAT REALLY COOL PART WHERE THEY'RE SITTING ON THESE ROCKS NEAR THE SEA..

& I love Cassis. o_o Or like, what they have of it so far. Yeah. x) I never even knew what cassis was before I looked it up. xP But it sounds cool. The word, I mean.

I'm going to reread the whole board again and copy some of my favourite posts from you guys onto Word Pad or something. Teeehee. You guys made me laugh so bad. Like the thing with the play-doh. And a whole bunch of other stuff. x)

well...lets see their are alot of japanesse bands I LIKE like dir en grey gazette miyavi gaket plasic tree hide an a lot more THEY ARE ALL SO COOL!!! I wish I was them...lol. well any way am trying to find alot of pics of them! so if you could tell me thats cool am into JAPANESSE MUSIC ALOT!!! so if you are into their music THAT IS SO COOL!!! anyway see ya!!!

Well, I am a big Dir en grey fan, And I just learned about Gazette. Who do you guys like the most? My first impression was Reita, but now its definitely Aoi with Uruha right behind
 
PKK, you're my jrock guru.

Reita was the one I first noticed too, but that was 'cuz of his nose band..
But then I kind of shifted over to Aoi 'cuz he was.....aeafjaelf pretty and /slightly/ resembled Miyavi... of course, the more I look at him the less I think he looks like Miyavi now, so... I dunno.

Aya...? Like, Aya from PLC? o_o
