Hi everyone!

I'm writing a speech script for my class presentation in Japanese, and need some assistance with some of the grammar.
How would you express in Japanese i.e. "People have been leaving the country since 2011"? The sentence implies that in 2011 they started leaving, and more are still leaving today.

I would say 離れ始めている or 離れ続けている. 離日する人が増え続けている "the number of people leaving Japan has been increasing" also can be used.

Would this work?
経済が悪くなったから、 ２０１１年からリトアニアを離れる人が増え続けています。

(I thought the country referred to Japan since it's a presentation in Japanese and 2011 is the year of the earthquake.)
