I know i'm kind of late, but I'm still aiming to submit my MEXT Scholarship application within this week. I'm planning to apply for a Engineering Master's Program by Research and I noticed that not all major universities actually offer Master's Program in English (taught in English). I already have a few research proposals to consider, so I'm currently looking for a potential supervisor. At first I considered Kyoto University, only to be told by a few faculties that they only teach Master's courses in Japanese.
Thus, I'm just wondering if anyone actually has a list of good universities that do actually offer their Master's lectures in English. I tried looking on the web too but I too frequently got lost in the sheer number of available institutions in Japan.
Try googling Tokyo's MEM (Mechanical, Electrical and Materials engineering) program. Tohoku University has IMAC (International Mechanical and Aerospace engineering Course) and IMSE (International Materials Science and Engineering). Those are only the ones I know off the top of my head. Try googling Global 30 as well to get a list of universities that offer English programs.
The shortened form "Jap" has through past usage come to have a racist connotation and its use is best avoided. Even though you yourself may have no such intent, unfortunately many people may assume you have.
