Hey Guys,
I've been studying Japanese for about 6 months now, and I want to buy an English-Japanese electronic dictionary to help out a bit... any suggestions?
Halden
it really hard to by one from your own country
i spose you can find some on the internet but they can be expensive coz they are imported and such
the best place to buy them however is in Japan itself. This is what i was told. So when i went on my exchange to japan i bought mine there.
sorry i cant be more helpful
maybe someone else can be more of a help
Just be careful about buying an electronic dictionary, most of them are designed for Japanese people and are very heavy on the kanji. Make sure you get one thats easy for youto use

yeah i agree with that
the only problem with mine is that is uses kanji all the time.
but my dictionary also has a kanji dictionary attached so i use that whenever i am in trouble. It becomes a bother sometimes though. Buts its good if you really wanna learn english
Yeah, make sure the base language is in English, my friend in Japan had one and it was almost all in Kanji, Japanese people are fairly funny when they use their dictionaries to help with trying to figure out a english meaning for what they want to say... Because the dictionaries either use something REALLY proper, or something that doesnt really fit. Always good for a few laughs in a day.
