Looking at the picture, I understand why you called them now ero-guro. I stopped listening to them since Vulgar, I hate that album.

Eeeh, drummers?? The old guy from Genbaku Onanies is good too... jazz style in punk rock, that's crazy =P but he is like 45 years old, so I don't think you'll post any pictures of him here, hahaha.

Nice to meet you Sakevi Often I am here, but I've been on vacation *dances the happy dance*. Well, I don't know technical about drumming because myself I don't play drums at all But I like to admire the good music... And, well, I don't know much about jrock or anything, I just like to listen, and most of the time, except for really well known bands like Diru or MM, I don't even know what do they look like! Except, since I visit this forum, I learn lots more...

I believe I have once written: "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!" on this forum. *hides head in hands* I was then thoroughly ashamed of myself. :sorry: I have the advantage of years. I am much too old to be a fangirl, instead, I am a serious appreciator *keeps straight face*

But once again, I have gone off topic from drumming, I am sorry... Because I don't have the knowledge... but, someone says Yoshiki makes classical music now - does anyone know is it any good, what is it like? I will have to search about, I am interested to know his kind of music now.

Hmmm, it's true that it seems almost all jrock musicians famous to be good looking also. But in some ways, if a person is good in the band as musician, it's quite possible to make them look good with the whole image, costumes, makesup, lights, photos etc. etc. So maybe it's something 'chicken-and-egg' of situation, do you think? :?

Really... Vulgar was actually the first album I heard every song on. It's special to me. But my true love Kisou... no wait Gauze... no Six Ugly... no... ok I'll shut up cause I like them all and I'll argue for eternity with myself.

You are a fangirl Kinsao... do I need to post shorty-short pictures and prove it.

About fangirls, it is good to see that some of you aren't like them, as I said before, I've discussed with lots of ladies like that, and is not very pleasant to find more and more on different forums... also, that's why I'm still looking for a good forum to be, hehehe. I think this could be a good one.

Yoshiki has been focusing in classical music since X disbanded; weeks ago I heard his new album --Eternal Melody 2-- and being honest, I liked only 2 songs... I think he makes his best, but the songs are very mmmm, I don't know the exact word... is like when you buy a good candy, but then you find out that it has more sugar than usual, and you don't finish to like it at all (what an explanation, huh?? -_-!!! )

You can see that he was more focused on classic music since the beginning: usually he made the same structure for all X songs (on drums), but he made amazing works on songs arrays, like piano back-ups and strings... I appreciate that a lot, and that makes himself an amazing composer. At the end, Yoshiki was a pianist who used to play drums, hahaha.


You are completely right... in fact, this complement is what makes more famous an artist, as you can see, hehehe. In order to promote your music, you must have also this image to "sell"...
The thing I hate is when music becomes the complement of the image, I can't believe that in MUSIC industry, the "best" artist sells more image than music; that's why I use to call some people models instead of artists or musicians ^^

Eventhough Luna Sea ended playing pop music, I still like them... is Luna Sea hated on this forum ??

Not hated... just not mentioned. People seem to care about the newer bands or bands like X Japan and Dir en Grey. :?

But lots of us are openminded to different genres and styles of Jrock... guess it's my fault for not mentioning them as much.

I honestly don't even know if we have a thread for them. I haven't seen one. XD *goes and searches*
 
:? Sekavi: models...i can't belive u could use that word in a bad way....^^; but i guess the drummers are certainly pretty enough to be models (in a good way!!)

Seriously though - agree with Sakevi. Which I think we all do. If there's anyone here who thinks music would come *second* to looks I dare them to raise their head over the parapet.

I don't actually know much Luna Sea... I just kind of liked them and noticed no one ever seemed to mention them :?

Well, talking about models, I just disagree with some drummers who seem to be more worried about the way they look, than worried about to what they can do or improve to make their music better...

I think I didn't say that I'm not again models... I'm not again models, hehehe. But my words look like I said it in a bad way... I think some "drummers" could be making more money being models than being drummers actually.

Is funny, while Occidental drummers are more watched as the "tough guys" of the band, Oriental drummers are more like the "fragil" part of a band...

And about Luna Sea, I found them as an interesting band, eventhough they began playing more like a rock style (that's why I liked them, hahaha) their jump to a more pop-sound wasn't noticed at all... and also, I like the way Shinya played drums.

I have their 3 demos (as Lunacy) if you want them, I can U/L them so you can listen.

hmm, I didn't notice it before now..it's cool, I think I'll might try to do something like that... I will, just have to get rope somwhere...hehe I'll skip the belt, it looks good on izumi but it woulden't suit me either

i would be SO happy if that was me... i mean.... i'd be exstatic... lol, i'd have to buy a drum kit just in honor of that one drum stick XD
