+D'espairsRay+

@nana: I'm going to both concerts. Yay for natural hair @ D'espa concerts! I'm taking off from school, probably Thursday through Monday, which is really bad because it'll be really close to the end of the quarter when I should be concerned with studying for finals and such, but whatever. D'espa is worth it, that's what I keep telling myself (well, that and I keep thinking about Karyu).

Thanks Sunsweet i didnt have the demotape version of yste[M] i only had the version on the Hysteric Media omnibious

I don't think the versions are any different, if they are I've never noticed before.

so basically.... who is going, other than sunsweet and nana007?

Haha you should be hit for saying that LOL j/k I wish they would come to the US every month to tour!!!

I don't think I should be hit... it's an opinion.

Besides, I live in Western Canada. What the Hell else do you want me to say? "Oh, I wish D'espairsRay would be in the US all the time!!!"?? No way in Hell... I would actually like to see them someday, but they're only in Japan, Europe and the States. I can't help but be upset about them not coming to Canada. I do not take back saying that I'd wish they wouldn't go to the US so much... it hurts, it's damn painful. All I hear from friends I have that live in the States, and are interested in D'espairsRay, is that they're planning on going to see them and yadda, yadda, yadda. I doubt I'll ever get *my* chance to rub it in their faces, and I really don't think many of the American fans posting in this thread understand, or comprehend, what it's like for a fan who isn't even in the same country as the tour/concert(s), and all they hear/read is the ranting and raving of so many others that have the chance to see them.

Sorry if that doesn't make sense... I'm distracted, and a little bit annoyed...

omg. Are you sick?

I can second that.

Still - I am pleased for the people that will get the chance to see them. I'm just sad that I can't.

i definitely agree. i want them to come to Canada too, they should certainly have jrockers come to anime conventions, then we could get a better chance to see them. so much trouble and lack of opportunity for the non-European/non-Japanese/non-US fans ;___; we should spam their fanmails mentioning other countries then maybe they'll get the freakin' idea that there are manias elsewhere waiting for them!!

I don't think we've ever had Jrock bands come to any of the anime conventions here (Edmonton)... I don't recall a Jrock band ever coming to Alberta.... and if they did, I must have been stupid--->not listening to it&updated. Precisely... some manias in other countries don't have the money to pay for a trip like that... It's horrible... I hate that they seem content with US, Japan, and Europe... what are the manias from other countries supposed to do? Go into debt to try and pay for that kind of thing? It's insanely horrible...

I've tried sending them a question via their OHP, 3 times actually... and each time I couldn't send it... It's aggravating because I want them to know that they do have manias in other countries, and that their concerts/tours in countries different than the ones those manias are living in, makes it undeniably inconvenient for those manias. I hate to say it, but some manias might get so disappointed with them, that they just might give up on seeing them live... It may get difficult for those manias to try and stay optimistic, some bands/artists may avoid a country for a number of years... For example, some country singer hadn't come to Canada I think for 15 years! Imagine what kind of torment that might be for a D'espairsRay mania in Canada, or the other countries that D'espairsRay is currently ignoring...

[/rant]

Of course, it's such a shame, that not everyone has the chance to see them live, or they have to pay a lot of money.
But hey! give the guys a break! They can't be everywhere! If you think of all the countries where there are manias. Imagine if they were to try and play each of those countries... It's not possible. They'd never have time to do anything else!

If it's any consolation (which it isn't), travelling around Europe is not always so cheap or so easy. The same for travelling from one side of the US to the other. There is only one D'espairsRay, and although we think they are super-men, even they can't replicate themselves or bend the space-time continuum!

Cheer up, Average Psycho, you have at least ten years of active D'espravity ahead of you (hopefully many more!), and at some point during that time I'm sure you'll be able to save up enough money to go and see them live!

xD do realize that they've already toured some places and are touring it again. perhaps we wanted them to give other places an opportunity to see them too.

Yeah... I wish it would happen, too.
But I guess it's expensive for them to tour, so they must be sure and go to places they know will be plenty of fans there. Of course, there are lots of fans in other places, but what seems like a lot of people to me, might not be enough to make a tour viable for D'espa.

Sure they should do Canada though. I'm sure there's plenty of fans there, and they'd snag some from north USA too, I'm betting.

They can't be, but it's hard on the manias...

But, you see, I'm an impatient person... *very* impatient. My family is also thinking (moreso hoping), that by the time the Jrock bands I listen to finally do come here, I'll no longer listen to them and want to see them live. I don't want that to happen... I'm trying to do all I can to save up my money to go to Japan so I can have a better chance of seeing Jrock bands live.... Seems that's the only chance I get...

Just because they haven't really toured outside of Japan, US, or Europe yet, doesn't mean they can't take chances... You take chances, and sometimes the outcome isn't so good, but you learn from experiences like that... I think goatz might agree with me when I say that, perhaps D'espairsRay should try and "broaden their horizons" and try touring out of those main areas...

I'm trying to get more manias in Canada... but a person can only do so much.

I understand you are upset about not getting to see D'espa, but you shouldn't say that we are 'throwing it in your face' because we DO get to see D'espa. It does nothing to wallow in your sorrows, just be happy for people getting to see D'espa and be happy for D'espa having enough fans to travel abroad. Do you realize that I spent well over 400 dollars on D'espairsRay's last tour and god only knows what I'm spending to travel to New York and then to Florida (I live in friggin Ohio) to see them. I'm a college student and I DEFINITELY don't have money like that, but I'm doing it and making sacrifices to see a band that I love. It's nice to hope that they'd come to Canada, but you have to be realistic about such expectations. Plus if they came to Canada, didn't you say that they'd have to come close to your house for your parents to even consider you going? So you'd even complain if they came to Canada and just not close to you, ne? I hate seeing such negativity in this thread, sorry you can't see D'espa, but don't channel your anger towards them. If you really want them to come to Canada, I'd say contact anime convention staff with the idea, start a website, talk to Harry from Jpophouse (he's very friendly and I'm positive he'd consider the idea if enough people talked to him about it), flood their bbs with messages from Canadians wishing for them to come there, I mean there's plenty of actions that you can do to actively get D'espa to do at least one show in Canada. I know I'd go to a Canada show, if it wasn't too too far into Canada, and plenty of Northern American fans would probably attend as well. There are more productive things that you can do than complain... take action!

Yea AP taking action works. I took alot of action trying to get them to come to Florida. sending multipe emails to jhouse rock trying to see if there was any way for them to come to Florida. I had about 30 of my friends do the same thing. and look they are coming to FLorida, many other people must have done the same too. Try everything you can to get them to go to Florida like sunsweet said.

I have something to say to that, but I'll keep it to myself.

I wouldn't complain if they came to Canada, but not close to where I live... the chances of me seeing them live are far greater when they're in Canada... Hell, I'd be ecstatic knowing they're in my home country, whether they're performing near me or not.

I don't recall stating that I was angry with them, I just hope they'll broaden tehir horizons and try touring in other countries than the US, European countries and Japan.

I never said I wasn't contacting anime convention staff... I can't remember all the conventions we have in this country (which is few, I think), but I'm getting help from a friend who is working on a convention this February.

yeah...its not like d'espa is playing anywhere near me ><"
Im spending easily $400 to go see them in Florida...and I live in Michigan! haha

Exactly. Their last tour took every last CENT that I had, literally. I had absolutely nothing left in my account. I actually had to pay rent like 3 weeks late because I didn't have enough money on the first. Now, I'm traveling across the friggin country and I'm going from NY to Florida which is what like a 17 hour drive? Hopefully I can fly, but I'm not quite sure if that'll happen yet. Hell, I may as well be driving from Canada with how far I've been driving for D'espa. America is such a huge country, just because they're playing in America doesn't mean that it's easy for us to go see them either. Canadians can go to the NY show too if they're willing to drive. It was a 10 hour drive (which means 20 hours there and back) to the VA show, and then I had to pay for gas and a hotel, and that's all just trying to get TO the show not counting what I spent AT the actual show. Not to mention what I'm spending on clothes and such, it's no walk in the park. Yet I do it all for my love for the band.

Oh my gosh, I am so sick of Jref right now. Well, not Jref I should say people who post on Jref. I don't know if people just cant read and see LOL's and j/k's in a post or if they just want to act rude on purpose. I don't see why people have to be such babies and whine about a band not coming to their country. What about fans in Africa or South America, do you think Japanese bands, or any bands ever tour countries like that? Be glad that Canada is so close to the US because that's more of a chance a band will play Canada while they are over here! I am sick of this grow up. Ugh... sorry for being mean, but I am sick of this board now I think I am going to say my goodbyes in this thread. So goodbye! There are quite a few people on Jref that I really like. I would list all the names but I am sure I will forget some. There is just too much stupid drama and immaturity here for me to waste my time on any longer.

God, this thread is making me sick to my stomach! This forum in general has been lately, but this thread was at least one place that I could always come to and not loathe! It always made me cheerful and some people have to try to ruin everyone's ecstatic emotions about the upcoming US tour! GET OVER IT! Most of you would be too young to go to one of their shows anyway, so even if they did come near you it would be a tear fest. A lot of us have traveled a great distance to even see this band and will be traveling even further this time around. We will be putting jobs and college aside and making financial sacrifices in order to do so. So, I don't want to hear people whine from now on. If you have nothing better to do then don't bother coming to this thread in the first place!

Where's Kinsao when I need her?

Premium tickets for the Florida show went on sale today at 4:00, so buy them and you can be close to D'espa like me, haha. Oh, and if you'll only be in the front to try to cling on to Hizumi's crotch or if you have smelly hair and like to headbang (haha, a la Bre's incident @ Sugoicon) then don't buy preium tickets cause I don't want you near me, haha, j/k.

exactly! I wasnt old enough to go to the NY concert so i am giving up all my savings to see them in florida...that is no where near me...im practically IN Canada (15 minutes away or so) and im not complaining they arent near me! Im a hardcore fan! XD
by the way, i ordered my tickets 15 minutes ago!! *squee*

*sigh* I'll just keep my own damn opinions to myself. Sure as hell does nothing good...

☝ Wow, It's getting rather angsty here. *tries to think of something to lighten the mood*

Oh! I got it! I recently got the studio version of Marry of the Blood (I only had the live version before) and set my playlist to shuffle. When it came on, I was just all☝"I wasn't expecting that." I was really surprised by the intro. But, it is D'espa so I shouldn't have been that surprised.

</idiocy>

Was it with the violin intro? I only have the live of that from Murder day...

*checks* Yeah, it was. For some reason, it reminded me of one of the songs from O Brother, Where Art Thou?
