+D'espairsRay+

XD oh man, I'll figure out HOW to upload things...eventually...*pokes filefactory* (it goes through and uploads it, but I get a blank page at the end)

So... I drove 10 hours to see D'espairsRay in Virginia this weekend, so I decided to wait until now to post a 'show synopsis'. So much stuff happened, and it was AMAZING, and it seems that Tsukasa has an affinity for phalic-shaped squashes, but that's another topic all together, lol.

Anyways, so I got to the Jewish Mother (the concert venue) around 4:00pm. The show wasn't scheduled to start until 8:30pm, so I didn't know what to do with myself. When I pulled up, I saw a girl get out of her car with a D'espairsRay t-shirt on and I started talking to her. She also drove from Ohio and she had been waiting at the venue for a few hours already, so basically I made a new friend and we talked a bunch. When I walked inside of the venue, I turned around to hold the door for the person behind me... when I turned around I realized the person behind me was ZERO! Zero is so cute when he doesn't have all of that makeup on, he's absolutely adorable. So anyways, I just smiled at him and said hi and kept walking forward trying not to let him see the ridiculous grin that was on my face. I went in and got my pre-ordered ticket, sat down with the girl that I met, and watched Zero talk to a couple of his roadies for a few minutes then he left and I waved goodbye to him and he waved back. There was also a guy in there that I talked to that flew to the show from Florida so the 3 or us just sat there and had idle chat.

So, after a few hours of sitting in the place, Harry from Jpophouse (who is really hot by the way, but that's another story) told us we had to clear the room so that D'espa could warm up. So we went outside for hours and sat and talked until the show started. Did I mention that the guy from Florida was also extremely hot, not sure what that has to do with anything, but I like to mention hot guys when given the chance (if you haven't noticed).

Finally, we were let into the venue. The opening band was crap and I don't even have much to say about them. Their names were the Unabombers and they were too loud, their music was crappy, and they did some song that caused some people in the back to start moshing, which caused me to get punched in the back, which caused me to be momentarily pissed off, and that's about all I have to say about them.

Then, Trash Light Vision performed and the show was GREAT! I seriously, loved them, they were all over the place getting the crowd excited to see D'espairsRay. Acey (the lead singer) and Steve (the guitarist) even did a little fanservice-esque licking and it was great. I got glitter poured all over me because I was standing right in the front/center and I think Acey also did it to be funny because he recognised me from the Cincinnati show. So for the entire D'espairs show I had a big half-glittered afro, haha, so I guess I probably stood out a little bit from the rest of the crowd (which is a good thing ). The crowd was amazing, and really energetic and loud, and TLV did a great job of pumping up the audience. On to D'espair (and please excuse the fangirly-ness that is to follow)...

The first one to come on stage was Tsukasa. He walked in and everyone screamed for a good minute. He had to do some last minute checks on his drumset so he did that as everyone just watched him and yelled out his name randomly every few seconds. He looked kind of embarassed to be on stage alone prep-ing his drumset. At one point, someone screamed his name and he looked up and smiled. This caused the whole crowd to scream really loudly. He looked so cute and shy and he just kept smiling and bowing his head a little bit and looking down at his drums. I'd definitely say that Tsukasa is the second hottest guy I've ever seen in my life... of course Karyu is first, haha. So then Karyu and Zero came out, the whole crowd screamed, I stuck my tongue out at Karyu and he did the same back. Then Hizumi stepped on stage and Born began to play. The crowd was so full of energy and so was D'espa. It was amazing how much energy the guys had. So, I know you guys expect me to remember the set list but, um, I don't... sorry. I can tell you that it started with Born then from there on I don't know. As far as songs I can remember I'd say they played every single song from Coll:set, Born, Marry of the blood, Reddish, Garnet, facism, and gensyoku (I think they played gensyoku). The set went on forever and they got more and more into it as the show went on. I do remember In Vain in particular. I'll be the first one on this thread so far to admit to Hizumi gropage. I'm not as restrained as others, and when the man has his crotch right in my face I can't help but touch it, the bulge was screaming at me to touch it. Yes I said bulge!!!, by my observations, it's quite obvious that Hizumi is okay with being touched every now and then, the bulge doesn't lie, hahaha. During the part of In Vain that says "I will dominate your f***ing a** with sex" Hizumi got really sexy and got RIGHT IN MY FACE literally, he got so close that I had to move my head back a little bit or I would've been doing something that definitely wouldn't be appropriate for an all ages show, ! At that moment all of the girls around were grabbing at him in every direction possible. I ran my nails against his stomach then rubbed his, well ya know, for a moment then rubbed my hand on his stomach a little more before he backed away to scream "Just f**k them all, just don't f**k with me". During that part the whole crowd was jumping up and down screaming the lyrics and Hizumi looked pleased at all of the crowd response he was getting. Hmmm, during Infection Hizumi grabbed my hand for a while as he sang "How many times did I shout your name in storm" . Also, during that song Hizumi put his leg on the speaker that was sitting at the front of the stage, so I rubbed his leg as all of the girls around me attacked trying to get a feel of whatever part of Hizumi they could. One girl in particular pushed me and the girl next to me so hard I almost fell onto the stage. She kept pushing and grabbing my back and trying to get me to move over and then the chick punched me in my back. That caused me to elbow her in the gut really hard :box: , and she said ouch and stopped, hahahahahaha. Sorry, but that part cracks me up, I'm normally not a violent person, but she just wouldn't stop hitting me and it got to the point where it was ridiculous. The girl next to me was also being hit and shoved by her and she wasn't brave enough to do anything so I just said f it and elbowed the girl in the stomach. Back to D'espairsRay, After Infection (I believe, it may have been a little later) D'espa left the stage. Before they left, Zero did the whole spit water in your face thing, and he ended up spitting water kind of in between my face and the girl next to me. I have no idea how that man can get so much water in his mouth *dirty thought*, but he drenched me and the girl next to me. D'espa left the stage and everyone screamed "D'espairsRay, D'espairsRay, etc.". People were banging and clapping and making a huge uproar, and D'espa finally came back out after about 5 minutes. They started Garnet, and the crowd was even louder than before. At the end of the song Zero, Tsukasa, and Karyu stopped playing their instruments and Hizumi kept singing the "Lala" (don't know what else to call it) part at the end of the song. The whole crowd sang along to this part and Karyu had a big grin on his face. The show continued full of even more energy than before. During facism Zero started jumping up and down and so did "his side of the crowd" and he was so cute and full of energy. Hizumi, then started jumping up and down trying to get the crowd to jump so everyone started jumping. It was so crazy, and loud, and amazing. Karyu was jumping super-high and then started rocking the **** out really hard on his guitar, it was awesome. Hizumi was screaming and the crowd responded, and he kept getting faster and faster and eventually everyone was just screaming and headbanging and it was great. I don't remember what song they ended on *sorry*, but when it was finally over Tsukasa continued to bang on the drums and D'espa kind of just made noise with their instruments for a while in a way to extend the last note of the song. Hizumi looked so happy, he actually looked like he was about to cry from joy. He dropped down to his knees right in front of me and put his head between his legs. Me and the girl next to me looked at each other then gave Hizumi a big hug as he lay there looking pitiful. It was such a precious moment, the conclusion of their tour, the amazing crowd response and participation, you could tell that Hizumi was giving into the emotion of the moment. Hizumi finally got up and grabbed my hand and yelled "thank you" to the audience. Karyu was reaching into the crowd trying to touch everyone's hand as he walked away. He grabbed my hand and I blew him a kiss which he responded to with a big amazing toothy grin! Mmmm, Karyu... Then, he and Zero left the stage. Tsukasa was the last to leave. He drank some water then threw it out in the audience, which caused me to get re-drenched, then the bottle landed behind me and the two girls behind me fought over it. The crowd was screaming D'espairsRay, D'espairsRay, but the bus pulled away and we all knew it was over .

As far as fangirly-ness, I must admit that I touched Hizumi a lot because, well, he was right in front of me. I also touched Zero's leg when he put his leg up on the speaker and his pants felt amazing, I want a pair, they seem really comfortable, lol. People seemed a little scared to touch Zero at first, but he did a little head gesture like "go ahead" and then people start groping him, haha. Now to Karyu, I gave Karyu so many "sexy" faces it's ridiculous , haha. Karyu wasn't within touching distance, but funny enough, I'm not sure if I would've had the courage to touch him if he was. I mean, Hizumi asks for it the way he moves really close to the crowd and stands there waiting for people to touch him, and I've already discussed the bulge. Have you all seen the concert video where he's actually rubbing himself? Yeah, so he wants it, but Karyu is more... je ne sais quois. He makes the most sexual faces I've ever seen anyone make while playing the guitar. He does things like flick his tongue out at you or little kissy faces... this is cause for the "sexual smilie". I did this thing where I licked my teeth and he responded by doing the same thing then doing a biting motion at the end. I was trying so hard to be noticed by him, and I actually think it worked

So, all in all the Virginia show was awesome and a great ending to the tour. I can't wait for them to come back and whenever they do I'll be sure to make it to as many shows as possible!

*o* <-- cause I really don't think there is a smilie that can portray the expression on my face after reading your about your gig experience... and damnit I need the bondage smilie on this place They must come back here... and they have to come to New Orleans... and they must come for the Decadence Festival... that would be beautiful... <--*happy cry* omg... I just had a thought... having the Decadence Festival with live shows... why am I the only to think of this... X_X Step aside pitiful creatures... I need to be incharge of the Decadence Festivals from here on out... I should start writing to bands and invite them to play... "Dear D'espa, ..." I would be in so much trouble if I trick a bunch of jrockers into coming to New Orleans for a music festival that wasn't real... mehh... I'll take my chances... now I just need to pick which month to have it...

Well... uhh... *cough* I was coming here for just a brief second to post these before I go to bed cause I need to be up *** early tomorrow... I still have two more live clips to upload... I'll get to them... eventually *drops them and runs to bed*

OMFG Sunsweet....... I love your account of the live! (<-- happy cry) There are no words......

I'm very pleased you got the chance to do some research. Yes, I am sure Hizumi wouldn't allow himself to be touched so much if he didn't want to be. What a shame you had to restrain yourself from doing inappropriate things! Still - such is life........

You're so lucky... still... my turn will come... (it better do )

Eeeee thankyou very much for the clips PK! I don't have those last 2!

I live in VA... but noooooooo parents have to be ebil and lecture me for 5 hours telling me that "J-rock ish stupid, and you'll grow out of it! Stop wasting our money!"

-runs off to slit wrists-

No offence meant, but sounds like it's your parents who are stupid. I mean, how can anyone say that about a genre of music, for chrissakes? It's just, y'know, sound..... :music: Hehe, but I'm sure my parents would have been the same but because it would cost too much... and they wouldn't trust me... can't imagine why... *innocent face* ... that's what parents do... tell you you can't do things you wanna do...

*sighhh* why, oh why, do I spend so much time here whinging about the fact I didn't have the chance to see them...?

-huggles- I know, my parents are absolutely retarded ; they tell me I can't listen to this "crap" because they don't like it, but when I tell them to at least turn down what THEYRE listening to, they yell at me I mean I like my parents, theyre nice and all, but sometimes I just can't tolerate some of the things they do :auch:

Edit: When they come to my room to bug me about something, I turn up Diru real loud, so they'll leave... works every time!

eh, don't worry, I didn't get to see D'espa's awesomeness either

I just had to post this link... :sorry:

Dreadful depressing tale of the D'espa show at Virginia Beach.

Yeah, everyone is reading that and taking it as absolute truth and everyone's complaining to Harry/Jpophouse, yada yada. I hate to sound cynical, but... that's just overly dramatic. The show was awesome, and if she had problems with people hitting her and such, she should've dealt with it, or moved to a different part of the stage because there was PLENTY of room. I'm afraid with people complaining so much, Jpophouse may be reluctant to have bands come over here, or at least as many shows in smaller venues and such, and that'd really suck. I like the intimate atmosphere of the D'espa lives and I think that when people act crazy the said offenders should just be kicked out of the venue, but don't let those people ruin your whole night, that's just silly to me. Sorry to sound so harsh, but I hate over-dramaticism... and that's what I see in that post.

D'espa was great, the crowd was great for the most part, and the show was absolutely awesome!

My parents hate all music I listen to XD no matter what it is.

D'espa played near me, less than an hour away....but I couldn't go.
XD figures though, I've never been to a concert besides school concerts...which don't count.

Ah, thanks for posting that. I hadn't know whether you were at the actual, identical same show as she was talking about. From the account it sounded as if there wasn't room to move or not possible to move, but if there was plenty of room, I can't for the life of me see why she didn't just head straight for a calmer, less crowded area. That's what I would have done - I mean, you might have to fight to get there, but when it's D'espa you've come to see, you don't just give up and leave. And someone else had said they were over near Zero's side and it was fine there, so...

I guess she was just worried that if there was that **** going on in the crowd, that might put them off from going to the States or to smaller venues like you said. But, it seems any bad stuff only happened at the live with minors anyway, so I think the tour organizers are quite capable of drawing their own conclusion and making lives 18+, which is of course crap for those under 18 but, well, it always happens that a few assholes ruin stuff for everyone else...

Well I find younger fans (from the lives I've attended atleast... never been to a jrock live though) are immature but I think that may have been an exaggeration... besides... half the fun is leaving covered in 30 other peoples sweat and grime completely bruised and exhausted and dehydrated barely able to stand or see straight... makes for a good live experience I think...

Well yeah... I mean, you could expect to be punched in the face a few times maybe, but to have it happening more or less constantly so you can't even properly appreciate the band... is a bit of a bugger, really.

Well... I believe if that girl would have just knocked the **** of those few people she could have enjoyed the show... SHE chose to walk away... things get better as the show goes on... people get tired and less brutal... she chose to run and tell and possibly screw things up for younger fans If you hit someone hard enough 9 times out of 10 they'll leave you alone... if not just move away from them... the only way you can not enjoy yourself is if you allow yourself not to...

I wish I could have traded places. I could do with a bit of fighting practice, actually - as my years advance I get in less scraps.

XD eh, don't worry, I bruise easily, but since my parents don't have the money to let me take classes in anything, I have to teach myself everything, thus, I beat the crap out of myself trying to do a cartwheel (ALMOST got it...), so eh, I think I can defend myself at a live. (Watch, if I ever go to one I'll like...die just trying to touch a guy... Zero come heeeeere! *falls over*)

I just had to post this.... *goes insane*

I think I can safely say we'd all be mad at you if you didn't post it.

hey Kinsao, is that a PV or just a picture?
please tell me!! thanx!

Just a picture... taken in my bathtub right before... uhh... just before... I... well.... hmm... *can't think of anything appropriate to post* :?

Aaaah what a gorgeous picture! its like.... bondage in the bathtub!

-I know I'm supposed to be gone, but shhhhh, I couldn't resist the sexy pictures-
