because, you know...i suck at paying attention...
do Deathgaze come to America at all?
that'd be cool to see them.
 
Yay! I finally have got the new album! I was thinking of it all Wednesday, haha, I had no internet access until last night... I even texted Y0kan and reminded him 'Deathgaze album is out today!'! I listened the first 2 songs... I like them so far. Have to hear the rest of the album to have an opinion, though...
 
I haven't received it yet, but my curiosity is killing me ... so I'm downloading it now ^^
 
I listened to it last night, and it is really good!!!!!
(I think I might do that one as my next review...)
The first 2 songs were quite a similar pace, but the others were more varied.

I listened to it as well, and I have the same sentiment. Sou's voice is great, it's really nice to hear it completely finally, displayed in various lights ... and there are some pretty cool guitar solos throughout the album. I think I may review it too, I've been considering starting a Jrock blog of some sort, maybe deathgaze will be my first critique ... if I ever get around to it ^^
 
well I recieved my own copy of "genocide and mass murder" and if im going to rate in a scale of 10 it's a 9 though I like hazuki's version of
"yami ni ame fukaishita sekai" better than sou's but sou did well too... his growling is more clean than hazuki's.
 
I agree, Sou's growling is a lot more clean then Hazuki's. Initially, I was 'slow to warm up' towards the re-recorded tracks, but now I listen to them more than the originals. Genocide and Mass Murder, for me, is such a strong cd, from track to track the flow is so well, that I can't help but love it. It's definitely one of the strongest "J-rock" releases of 2006.
 
I agree "genocide and mass murder" album is one of the best so far just hope that deathgaze makes some Music videos so that they'll be known by the world like dir en grey!! and I think the US would really like their style they simply prove that their country can produce great metal!! I think you can send them fanmails through their official website.. but i can't though coz i dont know how to read japanese T.T wanna request them to make a PV or two..

Basically agree with what you said ^^ That's a really great album... I listen to it loads and love it more each time.

Some... news.
Sou is leaving Deathgaze.
At least, on another forum, it is said that he has made a blog entry that says:
あんたのやったことは許される事じゃない。
大人として 人間として 絶対にやっちゃいけない事だと思う。

I can't translate it myself, or read Japanese well enough to read on their ohp, but it's said that he is questioning himself in the industry and also has a girlfriend that he wants to marry. So he is leaving.

I'm really sad because he has an awesome voice... ... but on the other hand i'd rather he was happy in his life than staying with the band and being unhappy... ☝ ... i'm just too knocked for six at the moment. I just really hope they find another fantastic singer.

Rather better news is that they have another single out tomorrow, containing 4 songs and called Scatologist. It's a live-only CD that people can get at their oneman show (one copy is free and you can buy more at the live).

Just ... wow, I don't have much else to say right now. I, too, hope they find another singer, but ... I don't know how practical that is. That's two vocalists gone already...
 
Does anyone know some news on hows the band doing after sou left and I know they ish looking for a new vocalist but can somebody plz giv some new info on them?arigoto!

they DID say they would continue without sou... right? *hopes* still... i hate to say this but the vocalist usually is the frontman of a band, and it's reeeally difficult to continue with a new one...

Anyway... I really really like this band, and i was real sad to hear that Sou was leaving, because his voice is simply awesome. I haven't heard/seen (?) any news about what they r doing now, but they didn't announce a split... i very hope that they don't split, that would be too sad.

I kno but hopefully hes better than sou which ish almost impossible lol
 
i know... that's the problem! i can't imagine they can find someone better than Sou *i really luv his voice* but still... i can hope...
