Hey XD i jux watched Death note movie yesterday.. n i can't wait to watch the sec. part. lol. hmm. does anybody knows what is the actor's name who acted as 'L' in the movie? He is actually the one who acted as Okazaki Shinichi in NANA movie, am i right?

I've read the first four volumes of the american released Death Note manga, and have watched the first six episodes of the anime. Would downloading the movie ruin either for me?

actually to be 100% honest... I rather L than Light ... BUT still, I don't know which one to support.... you know what I mean?jajajXD
 
I only noticed Death Note, becuase I'm a fan of Nightmare, that did "the WORLD" and "Alumina".

I'm quite eager to learn about it though! It seems really interesting! Hey everyone!
 
Yeah... Death Note is great.
I love Raito and L because they are very kurious.
But Ryuk looks strange in the manga.
I'ved seen the first part of the movie. It's grat, too...
 
Today I Downloaded 3 episodes of Death Note. And it's great! Can't wait to see more. It's very interesting. I like Lights personality, he is not like the average protagonist, a little insane you might add

the english subbed Death note 1 is already available in youtube... just search it.
the english grammar is terrible though...but it's better than nothing.
and only part 1 to 6 are subbed.

I might have missed it, but I don't remember reading about what you (Cue-san) think of Death Note so far. I've been watching it since it first aired, and honestly, I haven't been this anxious to see a new episode every week since Bleach (before the filler arc started -.-;; ). I haven't read the manga, which is a plus - since I don't know what is going to happen. It's quite hard though, avoiding spoilers.. but so far I've managed to do it (although not completely ).

I started watching anime Death Note first, and still I'm following it.
I've never read manga version, but I watched the Movie(part 1), which contains a bit of spoilers...

Anyway, I like it so far, though I don't like Light that much...

From here content may include some spoilers.
Well, he sure looks like a true genious, very smart, but seeing him killing people (especially those innocent FBIs) are kind of too much...
Anime version plot is different from Movie, and I prefer Anime version...But as I don't read manga, I don't know how the original story is coming along.^^;

Yeah, avoiding spoilers is kinda difficult, as there are many people who already read manga and know what will happen...

Yeah there are too many spoilers out there at the moment, and I feel bad that you already know what's going to happen. Anyway, thanks for posting the spoilers, but unfortunately I'll have to pass it up this time.

Watching and listening to each new episode every week definitely tests my ability to understand and learn Japanese. That's actually part of the fun. I was doing the same thing with Inuyasha when I was watching it everyday. I still have one episode I've been listening to about once a day for the past 3 years and there are still words I can't pick up.

Back to Death Note, it looks like there is one more episode next week and then there is a break. It won't air again until around Dec. 27th. I'll have to find something else to look forward to until then.
 
I was a tad disappointed with the movie. (>_<) But I'm glad they got Matsuyama Kenichi to play the part of L. Without him, I'd have been bored to tears.

Pleased with the way the TV animation is going so far. They're not straying too far away from the original storyline, and everything seems to be in apple-pie order. Choice of seiyuu = good. Who would've thought I'd get to hear Miyano Mamoru's voice so soon after completing all 26 episodes of Ouran?
 
Finish Reading Death Note

((WARNING::: I'LL TRY NO TO, BUT THERE WILL PROBABLY BE SPOILERS))

I finally finish reading the mangaaa several weeks ago... aaaand... what can I say???? AWESOME!! LOVE IT!! Though of course, nothing was the same after chapter 58..............T_T..... I was soooooooo saaaaddd I stand up and said: "I'mnot reading this manga anymore!!! wuuaaaaaa I mean... yeah... it was needed for the story and everything but.... why??? god why??? I was unfair!! A little bit of my love for the manga die with him so saad ... But well, it's just to cool to stopped reading sooo...=_=uuu.... No, really, it was a good end.... "he" end uo being so pathetic poor thing... he used to be cool and smart and great... and end up being sooo pathetic.... oH!! and noooo!!!! NEAR WILL NEVER EVER EVER-- BE BETTER THAN MY L!!! NO FREAKING WAY!! NOO!! okok....
Now I still wanna see the movies, looove fujiwara tatsuya ((though I don't think he is a really good Light... he is too short for the role )) .... I have to go!! I'll go on ewith the post later!! byyee!!
 
i have watched the 1st live action movie and i loved it so much,i dont have the slightest idea about the anime but coz of the film i started having interest on the manga too.i loce L's character and kenichi the one who played L is so perfect for the role

death note rocks,i hope to see the 2nd installment cant wait
 
I have the movie is ewasomeeeeeeeeeee but i find out "someone" dies in the second i was like noooooooooo
so am not sure if am going to buy the second one,
can anyone tell me when is coming out??????

Well, I just finished reading the Death Note manga!!

In English, of course. *huggleglomps scanlations*

They also had TONS of other manga series, as well as anime and video game OST's (Original Sound Tracks for those that don't know), doujinshi, and many Jrock, Jpop and Kpop artists and lots of their songs.
 
I have watched the Death Note movie. Kinda interesting and its sad that he killed his own girlfriend. That baka!! Anyway, i have only watched Death NOte anime one episode. L is scary to me with his obsession with sweets. I wonder he will get diabetis.............

The art and story is amazing.
I own.. book 1 - 6. waiting for the others.

I just watched "Death Note", the real movie based on the same named manga and anime by Takeshi Obata/ Tsugumi Ohba and now I wonder if there's a second part of it...does anyone know? because it had an open end...

Yes, a sequel is coming. In it Light and L/Tezuki will be working together with the police to find Kira. It looks like there'll be plenty of tension as Light hides his identity. As the end of the first movie suggests, Misa (the idol chased by the crazy guy) will also team up with a new Shinigami, and become the new Kira. There are some trailers for the new moving on YouTube (no subtitles unfortunately). Just do a search for "Deathnote the last name" and you should be able to find it. It looks like the new movie should be pretty fun.
