Covid Problems

So this is the thing right. I have been waiting for three or so years to travel to japan. Because of the covid thing this has been impossible before now.

Three decades ago covid did not exist but there were bat diseases. Today its almost like bird-flus are everywhere and pretty much constant. So much so that the goverment has been actively working towards eradicating the virus completely.

I mean I cant explain to you how it is possible for a virus to start in somewhere in china and suddenly pop up on the other side of the globe, stay there for three years and then decide to show up in Japan again all of a sudden. It seems pretty inconvenient because there is no real explanation for it.

I know these diseases are transmitted from animal to humans, and not by human-human contact, or so it was originally. But now its not possible to transmit the disease to animals its only among humans. When I asked my parents about it they had that look on their face about them like they knew exactly what I was talking about. It is like everyone have restrictions from covid.

And when I came to Japan they had all the bases covered until they realised I have only had one vaccination, not two. And then I had to turn around again to get my second vaccination. It seemed all good and pretty well thought out beforehand but I was not aware that the shot I took was a part of a two-stage process.

This means I am only partly immunized. In reality this single shot of vaccine does not mean anything and I could get infected at any time. It is as good as if I actually had covid. It is really not like no-one told me anything beforehand but that the health insurance is there and working. So you could say I got treated for covid 19. But only partly in the way that a wild chimpanzee is treated in a wildlife refuge.

I'm trying to wrap my head around what you are trying to tell us… you say you attempted to enter Japan during the pandemic but were refused entry because you had only been vaccinated once? Is that the gist?

What in the world is all of this supposed to mean? It's quite clear at this point how COVID is transmitted. The initial origins of the disease aren't particularly relevant at all in terms of how various countries are addressing the pandemic and trying to control the spread now.

Er, yes. No ****. It's inconvenient and frustrating as hell, but that's basically how the world has operated for the past almost-two years.

If you want to go to Japan and don't have an urgent work-related reason (for which some exceptions are being made), monitor the regulations and follow the rules. Hopefully things will be relaxed soon as more people are vaccinated and the number of new cases drops, but musing about the animal origins of the disease, "bat diseases" three decades ago, and blah blah blah, is not going to convince anyone to let you flout restrictions that pretty much everyone has to follow.

You're not a "chimpanzee in a wildlife refuge", for god's sake. You're an adult human being who will be expected to follow the rules of society, whether you're in Japan or your home country.

You should try to get completely immunized. A single shot does mean something. And getting the full two doses means even more. It means that you are much less likely to get severe Covid. It's very strange that you only got one shot and weren't aware that you were supposed to get another. That should have been well communicated by your health provider.

The initial reaction was to just let the disease spread and see how far it goes. Of course it only took two months from the outset to see that this was going to be endemic. Here in northern norway (hardangervidda) or just "vidda" we have never seen or heard of diseases before. That was before covid.

People think this disease only affects indian people, or people far away from themselvses. But of course this is only true in the way that you were not aware of covid or that you have no ability whatsoever to understand what is being told to you. In this way freedom is severely restricted and you are to stay at home at all times.

This means also that you are free to do whatever you want within the confines of your own home. It does not mean that you could break the law in any way whatsoever or that you could attract covid cause then you would be dead. Its like people see if you attract covid or not and if you are going to die. Because if you are dead then you have to put the blame on covid and not actual real people with real lives and families.

In northern Norway you had "never seen or heard of diseases" before?
People (who exactly?) think COVID "only affects Indian people"?

I'm sorry, but I genuinely, honestly have no idea what you're trying to say.

Its not difficult to understand. You may be a carrier of a foreign virus and will thus be treated as such. Actually since it is covid you will probably be monitored constantly and bedazzled with. That is beside the constant quarantine. I mean its only three years so it cant hurt right?

Actually did you get the zika virus thing? Where there were some kind of birth problem and no one knew where to put the blame until they found the virus? This is kinda like that. No one knows where to put the blame.

This is the only thing you've posted in this thread that makes any sense. For what it's worth, I agree.

I just feel there is a lot of talk about protocol while some suffer during this distress. There were problems from the outset but because you are not aware of it you have to stay in quarantine. It is like they are holding me, my girlfriend and even our little baby as suspects for spreading the virus just because we did not get the PCR test before after two months. And then we have to stay for three years while getting tested for covid.

Its only me who does not have covid. My girlfriend and my baby both had covid in the past. I did not even go to japan. I talked with the flight agency before travel and was denied there. I never even stepped into the airport. So its not that serious that is why you can relax.

My grandfather who was heavily decorated officer in the French foreign Legion travelled one calendar month ago in a surprise visit towards northern norway. He was that big weird looking tall guy with a weird hat and holding his rifle high with fisher boots on. And even he had problems from covid. It has nothing to do with japanese immigration law.

I love how everybody acts like their life is over and are pointing towards the nearest vaccination booth only because of covid. None of this is actually a problem for me. I could go on living my life while enjoying it with no problem whatsoever. The problem is the restrictions that are following with this disease. It means I cant apply for work, I cant eat out, I cant do anything with any other person other than myself, without getting bothered beyond belief by uniformed guys in hazmat suits.

So the hint is: One of the vaccinations is bogus and are making people sick or die. That means either of the parent companies are at fault and should seize immediately. Yet the moment a companys assets are frozen vaccination output is going to drop and someone is going to take a big drop for it.

At some point we have to say okay this disease happened, there is no one to blame and no one is at fault. Yet the restrictions have to drop. I am not going to spend the rest of my time going into quarantine while at some other timeline watching the nature of this disease rot throughout its life.

I thought restrictions were lifted in Norway. It sounds like you're refusing to get vaccinated? Is that the issue?

Sometimes Japan's stubbornness about not letting people in makes good sense.

Not everyone just dies when they get covid and people spread covid so we have to do our best to help it not spread, so if their not getting and doing everything they need to not let it spread it kind of is their fault for being stubborn and acting like it won't affect them or others pretty much not caring.

I guess your just gonna have to deal with watching people continue getting sick then... Sorry my dude. But ever since these regulations have been set place where I live, covid and it's spread has been getting less and better sooo...
