counting stuff

Hi guys, I am new to Japanese, so please be patient with my basic question.
I am learning how to indicate existence of something somewhere combined with counting stuff. For example:
"there are 3 new cameras in the bag"
If I get it right, this can be written like this:
Kaban no naka ni mittsu no atarashii kamera ga arimasu.
かばんの中に三つの新しいカメラがあります。
now if I want to stress the number, it would go something like this:
かばんの中に新しいカメラが三つあります。
Now assuming that this was right (may be too much to assume), how do I apply this rule, when I want to say that there are several things in, lets say "there are 3 new cameras and one apple in the bag"?
Does this make sense: かばんの中に三つのあたらしいカメラと一つのりんごが あります。
and whats worse: how do I turn the sentence so that the stress is on the numbers?
かばんの中に新しいカメラとりんごが三つと一つありま す。
(this sounds just so wrong to me )
I am sorry to bother you with such basic question - to me this is brain surgery right now

台 is the most common counter for camera.
The last example should be かばんの中に新しいカメラが三台とりんごが一つありま す.

かばんの中に新しいカメラが三台とりんごが一つありま す.

woooo, I just looked up a list of all the counters used -- impressive! Hm, rabits are in the same group as birds

I'm sure my teacher told me that putting the number/counter after the noun is neutral and putting the number/counter before emphasises the number.
E.g. ビールを二本飲みました。Is "normal".
二本のビールを飲みました。emphasises the number.
You seem to have it the other way round. Can any natives / more experienced learners confirm?

You might very well be right - could be that I have it all wrong. Would be good if somebody can set me straight

In general, the focus/emphasis tends to be put more on the preceding one, but, for instance, I would use かばんの中に新しいカメラが三台もあります when emphsizing 三台 instead of 三台の新しいカメラ. かばんの中に新しいカメラが三台あります is a normal statement, whereas かばんの中に三台の新しいカメラがあります sounds like introducing a new topic "カメラ" to me.
