I've been in and around the forum for a few months now, been looking through and couldn't find what I was looking for.

My question is the following: Do you know anywhere you can buy cigars and cigar-related items? By cigar-related items I mean humidors, cutters, humidor solution, etc.

I have found a few places here and there, but nothing with a proper selection. Seeing as Japan is a country that lives for tobacco, I would be very surprised and disappointed if I couldn't find a quality tobacconist in the Tokyo area. All suggestions are welcome (online as well).

Thanks in advance for your time and help.

Thanks a lot for your help guys.

If anyone else has any suggestions, I'm all ears.

Our search function here at JREF is horrible. I had to go through Googles advanced search to find this:

Thanks Mike. You seem to be the resident cigar guru on the forum. Any updated suggestions on where to buy quality merchandise around Tokyo?

More precisely I'm looking for a top shelf humidor, perhaps Davidoff #7 or anything in that range. I plan on putting some keepers in there for a while and I want to be as safe as can be.

I'm afraid you and I must have vastly different levels of disposable income. I use one desktop model that I got from Lynn Cigars and I have a nice larger model that I got from cheaphumidors.com. I must warn you up front that the fellow who runs the latter site has enjoyed a spotty reputation and some people despise him. I had excellent service and cannot complain. I had a glass top model sent over from him and it arrived with the top shattered (sha-doobie) and he sent me another to replace it right away, no extra cost to me and I kept the first one. Someday I might get a glass shop to cut me a new top for it.

For all that the Japanese seem to love tobacco, for close to one hundred percent of them that means "cigarette" and "cigarette" only. Any place that caters to anything at all different immediately takes on the elite boutique air (and grossly inflated prices) that go with catering to an extremely limited clientele.

Thomas: I've been around here so long and am so set in my JREF browsing habits that I totally missed the Google Search thingy at the top of the page. I never look north of the "Quick Links" button. In the future I will avail myself of the feature you have gone to the trouble of providing us before looking elsewhere.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. They are really into their cigarettes, but anything beyond that gets hard to find. Thanks for the tips, greatly appreciated.
