Bubblegum Crisis

This is one of my favorite animes... Well, that I've ever seen, really (but there again, I haven't really seen too many ). I like the action, the characters, and especially the music (this is one of the first animes I've ever seen, which I explained in the "First Anime?" thread). But, it's in raw Japanese, so I can just barely understand anything their saying.

I've also seen the sequel, Bubblegum Crash!. Some people say it isn't as good, but I beg to differ. It is fairly good, the action is still okay, but I'm still kinda dissapointed to know they changed Priss' voice (I heard that was for some legal reason).

I heard they made a new BGC, Bubblegum Crisis Toyko 2040. I haven't seen it, but don't plan on it. It doesn't look as good as the original, and I don't like the new character designs as much. They all look like totally different people!

Anyway, has anyone else here seen or heard of any of the Bubblegum shows I've mentioned? Because I'd like to know what you thought of them!

BGC Tokyo 2040 isn't new, Neon, it came out some three to four years ago. It's in my collection and I liked it a lot compared to the original. There was supposed to be a sequel, BGC Tokyo 2041, but it hasn't come out yet, don't even know if it was even made.

I have never seen the original Bubblegum Crisis, but I have got the 2040 series, which I enjoyed. I have not had much luck getting the original, even using ebay. Ah well, I'll get it eventually.

Yeah, I knew that. What I mean't was, they made a newer version of the original BGC. I hope that makes a bit more sense. :sorry:

Hey, no problemo, Neon! And to Mycernius, I know what you mean, the original is about as difficult to find these days as a three dollar bill. Sheesh!

For me, BGC 2040 was better illustrated. I liked Sylia there.
