I thoroughly enjoyed Bleach, until the departure from the Soul Society and the introduction of the Bount. I tried sitting through a few episodes of that, but eventually got bored with it and stopped watching completely.
Even though I abandoned it on a sour note, the first 60 or so episodes of Bleach were phenomenal. I'd have to say my favorite character would have to be Kisuke Urahara, for his humor-masked seriousness.
