BEst Sushi place where you live?

Ok - can ANYONE name a good place for food in Kyoto near the center of town? I've got my trip pretty well planned out in Dec and am looking for places to get lunch and dinner cheap.

I live in central Illinois and I guess, since right now it is the only sushi place where I live, is this little restaurant called Akemiya. I really like their food. We had another place called Tachibana, but it closed. I never got to go there, but I heard it was good. We are soon getting a sushi and sake bar, so I shall have to try it out to get a definitive choice for best.

But for now, it is Akemiya.

I live in Phoenix AZ, and the best Sushi place, around here I hear is Zen 32. I havent been there though I heard good reviews about it.

Just walk along Shijo Kawaramachi ﾅｽlﾂ湘ｰﾂ静ｬﾅ陳ｴ窶卍ｬ, you'll find so many restaurants.

Sushi Ten is the best! I always order chirashi with uni on it. Bad sushi joints - and there are too many of them - could make about twelve chirashi dishes with the amount of fish that Sushi Ten uses - in fact it's kind of hard to even find the rice underneath. It's the best!

Place called Sake on Sixth, which is a sushi bar on Sixth Street in Austin. It helps I get 10 airline miles per dollar I spend there, so it could be making the food taste better to me!
