Aomori accomodation

Hello to everybody!

Next August I will go to Amori during Nebuta Matsuri but
I have some difficulties in finding a cheap accomodation because it seems that the world is going there and every place is already fully booked!!
If someone has already been last years in Aomori city during this Matsuri maybe that can help me suggesting how to find an accomodation that can be booked overseas (I'm from Italy).

Hirosaki is a bit far from Aomori, about a half an hour train ride, but I think you will use your JR pass, so I don't think the distance will matter.

From Aomori Station, two trains to Hirosaki are available departing at:
22:23 (express train)
23:12

I've been to Aomori, but not during the Nebuta season (I desperately want to see it). I hope you'll share your photos here or else.

It is onsen-cho for around 20 minutes here from Aomori Station.
Because there is much Ryokan, please try to look for it.
