sorry if this is in the right place... i figgured this was probably the best place to put it...

so, Amecon is one of the UK largest and fastes growing anime conventions. last year it's attendece more than doubled '04's turn out, which was it's firt time running.
the con's run by a groupe of people who run an anime club at Leicester University, and last year, due to large turn outs and last minute venue complications, it was held at the universities sudent union, and was a huge success.
those of you familiar with UK cons will know of Ayacon, and unfortunatly, the con leader decided to pull out this year, making '05 his last due to it just beeing too much to organise. this meant that there wasn't a major con running this year, adn as the runners of Aya and Ame are good friends, Ame has decided to run again this year.

regerstrations aren't yet open, however the forum is.
AmeChibi 2022 there is the official site, and registrations and the main page should be up and running shortly.

this year it's going to be a Leicester University student union again, meaning there will be more or less onsite accomodation, and the actual venue is about 15 minutes walk from the center of town, meaning people can easily stay anywhere within the city center.

the con is 3 days, with a Kareoke night, Jpop and Jrock disco, as well as an AMV disco. there's all the usual stuff there are at cons, including a mascarade, cozplay competition, guests... there's even an Omake that was pretty successful last year, just badly publisised.

anyways, i thought it would be nice to have a thread to the people going/considering going to share their thoughts here.. tell us what cozplays you're plannign, ask for help/share advice for cozplays...
any questions about Leicester it's self and i can help you out there...

as far as prices go, nothing's been declared yet, but going by last year
weekend pass: £40
accomodation onsite: £30/£35 per night (adn i think that's per person, i'm not too sure)
