Amazon.co.jp?

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this ^^; And sorry if its been asked before, I tried a search and nothing came up.
Has anyone ordered from amazon.co.jp from outside Japan before? My Japanese teacher recommended the textbook 'Genki' to me, but she said she ordered it for her highschool class from amazon.co.jp, as its half the price there than it is on the US/European equivalents.
I found the book easily enough, but Ive run into problems with filling out my address; they require a postal code (which my country doesnt use) and dont provide enough space for my full address, or give an option to fill in a country name, they seem to just assume its Japan?
Is there any way around this? ^^;


Edit: Oops, I figured it out! There was a link button I couldnt read, that led to an international address form I feel dumb now.

amazon.jp is really good. It is actually cheaper to buy some text books from there even with the postage charge than to just buy them in the UK. It generally takes 1-3 weeks for the order to arrive (to the UK) in my experience. There is a postage charge per shipment so it is worth buying more books at one time. They also have all the ordering pages in English so you cen be sure not to make a mistake.

I've used it for ordering CDs. Pretty good and because it is an amazon site it mirrors the English language ones, so if you know your way around .com, .co.uk, or .ca (the other ones I use) you shouldn't really get lost despite the language barrier

Yeah, I ended up automatically clicking links because I knew where they were from amazon.co.uk The only real problem I had with it was that although theres an option to view the page in English, it doesnt actually display much of the text in English, so I ended up refering to bablefish a lot ^^; I'll just have to work on my Japanese I guess!

I had to order from Amazon.co.jp once, because every other store I tried had sold out of this CD. Yeah, it's not that bad, so don't worry.

Genki is a really good textbook. I'm surprised it's not easier to find. I got mine at a Japanese bookstore around the area (Sasuga Books in MA, but you can also order online from them, it just takes a while).
