"Exchange Orders can be purchased from the following JR authorized sales offices and agents:
JTB Corp., Nippon Travel Agency, KINTETSU INTERNATIONAL, Toptour Corporation, Japan Airlines*, All Nippon Airways, JALPAK, and their associated agencies."

Well none of those places are close to me. Do I just need to call them up and place an order over the phone?..

Also, How long does it take to get the pass? Is it possible to get it in less than 10 days?

Check your local travel agents. If they don't have the exchange orders, they may know where to get them. What city do you live in?

Yes, you can get them in under a week.

I thought about checking with AAA today as I passed it on the way to work but I wasnt sure.

I live in Louisville, KY

AAA would be a good place to start. Since Louisville is a larger city, it should have some travel agents who handle Japan vacations. Check the Yellow Pages for travel agents who handle Japan trips.

I order from the discount travel agency IACE Travel and the passes always arrive within 3-4 days. FedEx is your only insurance in case of loss or damage but at about a $10.00 surcharge so I routinely turn that down and try to endure the wait for regular USPS mail.
