This was, in fact, the fourth time we were indulging in Gekkeikan's Namazuke. They were issued a new stylish label for 2024. This daiginjo exhibits an elegant aroma with prominent notes of green apple; a mellow sweetness initially coats the palate, followed by a gradual emergence of gentle sourness and astringency, enhancing the overall richness and complexity of the flavour. A modest bitterness lingers on the finish, providing a refreshing aftertaste. Best enjoyed chilled or at room temperature, offering a more nuanced flavour profile.

A very affordable and elegant daiginjo.
