I was browsing through YouTube to find some clips that show Ashikaga, my beloved hometown. There were many clips from the annual firework festival but all you see is fireworks. Then I found these clips made by a certain Mr. Masato Aso, who also calls Ashikaga home. He is a young, very hip chap with a luxurious head of hair and a pair of stylish shades that reminds you of Beck cerca his Where It's At period. You get to see him ride his bike around town, lounge in his bedroom (mild nudity alert!) and visit many sites in Ashikaga. I think he has done a good job capturing the many faces of the city.

Wow your city is very green. You even have a winery? I never knew Japan were a producer of wine...other than Sake of course...or is it sake that they produce in that winery? lol.
 
It is a winery. It is pretty well known actually. I was told a few years back they gave the visiting foreign leaders the wine from this winery as gifts during a summit (in Okinawa? I can't remember..). The grapes are grown by students from a special needs children's school that is also in Ashikaga, BTW.

Wow! I must get a bottle...I've never tasted Japanese grape wine before. I think its really sweet that the grapes are grown by students.

Man I have to pull cards out of my mouth to be hip in Japan? Is attempting the language not enough!? /groan.
