Been busy trying doing some cleaning around the house. Been slacking a little on my Japanese. Think I mentioned in another entry about finding a cool kanji book at Barnes and Noble. But, I'll get around to it once I learn a little more kanji.

Found a line today, written mostly in first year kanji. Didn't make any damn sense to me. But, not discouraged in the least. Even though I've been trying to learn Kanji online using those websites with a list of Kanji; I find that using note cards is still more effective. I bought 300 last week, so ... there will be a lot of cards here.

Book is sounding more convenient now that I think about it.

I encountered Chinese writing the other day. It was nothing but kanji, goddamnit. How is any one suppose to learn that? Reminded me of an Eddie Izzard scene where he satirizes how some people find it impossible to speak more than one language. Well, if my father could learn Chinese, I'm sure I can.

... It just won't be anytime soon.

I've been taking about a few days away from kanji learning to consolidate what I do know. I don't want to, like, forget everything and I've begun to confuse some kanji together. That's not a good sign. Things like, kanji for stone, and kanji for right. This is one of those, "lol" moments.
