A Good Thing

The last several days have been a bit colder, haven't they?

Riding my bike, I have noticed that the wind is much colder in the evening, and the mornings are just cold in general. I have started wearing an extra layer to keep the wind out, but in so doing, I must be careful not to pedal too hard or I'll start to sweat. It's an interesting adjustment to make, trying to find just the right effort to pedal at.

I have also noticed that it takes a lot less time to get to places on my bicycle than it used to. My legs must be getting stronger, or perhaps my endurance has gotten better. Either way, it feels good!

For example, I had a meeting to go to today, and although I expected it to take 30 minutes to arrive at the place, it only took 20. This 30 minutes is based on how long it has taken me in the past, but today, I didn't even try hard to make good time and still got there in only 20 minutes. I was pretty proud of myself, you can be sure, because I wasn't hot or sweaty or anything. I felt very comfortable, actually.

My recent indulgences have been a yakult drink in the morning and a glass of wine after dinner. I have these as a sort of luxury, but more importantly for the health benefits. The wine is a bit expensive given my budget, but I've noticed that I sleep a little better after a glass of wine. (Not that I had any sleeping problems before, mind you.)

Healthwise, I feel excellent! I don't think I've ever felt better overall, although it did feel good when I regularly went to the gym. I really feel like I'm in the prime of my life, which is something I may have thought before, but I've never really FELT it like I do now. Exercise is a good thing.

Well, sounds like you're on top of the world looking down on creation. The explanation being exercise, of course. Yeah, unlike driving a car, the more you pedal, the more you benefit! And ain't nothin' wrong with a little nightcap.

Prime of life.
In your house.

People do not exercise enough. I can say that because I don't. OK, now I'm going to my basement for some workouts!!

Don't forget to eat well, too.
