Hey all,
I'm sort of confused: I've read manga and assumed that since the books are read from right to left, so is the language...but I've never seen japanese written right to left; is that just Americanized Japanese, or is Japanese truly written from left to right?

It's conventionally written right to left in mangas. there are books that go left to right, first page is on your right. i'm not 100% positive, but i guess it depends on the publisher.

When Japanese is written vertically, it is read top down, right to left. When horizontal it's left to right, top to bottom. It has been written horizontally right to left in the past but not in modern times afaik.
