LOL, how come Oasis stands above The Beatles? Oasis were(are?) the ultimate Beatles rip-offs.

You have a poin't but I just like the harder sound of Oasis compared to many of the softer Beatles songs.

Oasis rule 🙂 i have all their albums! even though they had an extra song on the japanese version of heathen chemistry, i don't think they classify as jrock/jpop Timsan :?

i'll go Gackt for number 1. can't think who to rate where after that.

My lord, how is it NONE of you have even paid a mention to B'z? Only the most successful J-Band, E-V-E-R!!!

B'Z rock and they roll... all night long, sweet Susie!

(Obvious Kung Pow reference there.)

That would be Nobuo Uematsu (Camui said it before me). The greatest composer to ever walk the face of this planet.

that is soo true...Nobuo Uematsu is such a genius..I can't wait till I get one of his cds...but I've always loved listening to his songs in the FF series...^^ ...I love Aeris' theme, do u guys??

Aeris' Theme is good, but my favorite has always been Love Grows from FF8. It's based off of the theme song, Eyes On Me, but it just fits so perfectly with the scene where Squall is carrying Rinoa down the tracks, and then talks to her. Brings a tear to my eye...-sniffle-

Haha, well he didn't really do a good job.

Her music is great, but those credits go to her producer Tetsuro Oda. Seriously, she doesn't really sing all that well.

While those bands are nice, I guess, none of them have even a small fraction of the range that B'z does. A majority of it is what the music scene in Japan suffers from these days, cookie cutter-itis. This band sounds like that band, who sounds like this band over there but the underground band sounds like both of them but are cool because they haven't sold out. I would only go as far as to say that TMGE and Gackt will have long standing careers. The others, I couldn't be so sure. Let me ask you something, what B'z albums did you buy? I will say this, if you bought anything from the early 90's, know that it is a direct indicator of music in Japan at that time. It is sad that their music scene was so far behind ours at the time.

But listen to their music through their entire career, you can see how much their style grows with each album.

After reading this, you still don't like them... send me the CD's, I can give them a good home! :D

Peace,

Ant
