If you could choose one super power, what would it be and why?

teleportation, hey i could go anywhere i wanted whenever without having to pay for airplane rides. theres a bunch of other reasons too.

on-off capability & adjustable depth of penetration. A dirty old man's dream !! I'd never have to buy another men's magazine !

I would have to say teleportation too, for a few reasons...

I can't choose one, but here are Top 5 Powers I would want to take advantage of:

1. Teleportation. Why use transportation, when you could head to London tomorrow, make love in Tokyo Thursday, eat foccacia in Melbourne Friday, and go home Saturday?

2. Flying in the sky, and hovering. I can fly anywhere I want, so free, so beautiful, and land gracefully like a bird. Also, I can sleep while I'm floating. Awesome!

3. The power to destruct, in any magnitude, be it small or large, and if I am satisfied or feel sorry for that object or person, bring whatever was destructed (by me, or any source) back up again. Then we wouldn't have had a 9/11, and everyone would be happy with Bush!

4. The power to stand and view from the tops of buildings, lampposts, cathedrals, anywhere I want to. I can get a good view, as well as look cool doing it!

5. The magic touch: The ability to fix any mistake, create anything from photos in magazines, etc. with a wave of my index finger or a wink of my eye.

With these powers, I can control what happpens in Rio in a few minutes, then go to Athens and restore the Parthenon to its complete grandeur of centuries ago, and then restore the Coliseum in Rome, the destructed buildings from Little Boy in Hiroshima, even clean up the graffiti in my neighborhood! And all this in fifteen minutes or less!

I just realized I never answered this myself.

I'd love the power of pure destruction. To be able to wave my hand and watch towers crumble, or wave my hand, and watch hordes of humans fall dead.

Just to be able to destroy on a whim, would be the ultimate. To look up at the moon, point to it, and watch it explode. Now thats my power.

I think I'd want that mostly so that I can look in the eye of a total stranger, and watch the fear swell inside them, because they know it would only take a fraction of a second for me to destroy them.

No no, I would never use that power to destroy the world in one swoop of a look. I'd pick off families one bunch at a time, dismantle monuments, and obliterate the moral of the human race, before I bring their number down to one. One being myself, of course.

It's because I can't think of one. But if I HAVE to choose one, it would be the first choice, teleporting. I can be in Tokyo typing this post (actually, I'm in Long Beach, at work). Oh yeah.

I'd want the power of (controlled) pyrokinesis. Most people admire Superman and Wonder Woman...I envy Carrie.
