What is the difference between manga and comic?

Hello.
I am a Japanese college student. I love manga/anime.
And now,I want to know why people loves Japanese manga/anime.
Do you like Japanese manga/anime?
Why do you love Japanese manga ?
What is Japanese manga's appeal that difference from American comic?
please give me your opinion.:)

I'll try and give you some answers. 👍

  1. I do like anime/manga.
  2. I enjoy manga because of the wide variety of subjects, from a high school romance to a tale about a wandering samurai. Usually manga is easier to read and much more pleasing to the eye than a regular book, and the characters are more believable than in a comic.
  3. Japanese manga usually deals with more topics than an American comic book does. Where comic books are usually about superheroes or the supernatural, manga can be about any number of different subjects. As well, I find the manga art style more appealing than the American comic book style.

that sounds about right :)

But, i still prefer a good old comic about super powers and such.

i like manga, but since im a diehard fan of the old spiderman comics and daredevil comics ill just say i like them both! but never forget:
