Yoshito Okubo scored twice as Japan's Under-23s secured a place at this summer's Athens Olympics with a comfortable 3-0 win over 10-man United Arab Emirates in the final round of Asian Zone Group B qualifying matches on Thursday evening.

I think I rowed in a regatta once in Athens GA, but it might have been Augusta...Sure won't be rowing in Athens, Greece!
 
You were a rower, Mandylion? Very interesting. I was always fascinated by rowing.

i dont weigh alot.. i wanna be that guy going "ROW! ROW! ROW!" at the front of that boat in the boatraces they do in english schools...

Off topic, but the US Olympics men's soccer team did not qualify (the women did, though), so...I suppose it's better to cheer on the next best thing.

Only for one season in university. There is nothing like rowing to get you in shape. If you row in pairs, four or eights you also have to get everyone perfectly together. When a boat clicks, there are few things like it in the world. Makes the feeling that you are going to die after 5 km hurt a little less.

Thank god I never had to row to Florida
