Hey, I'm trying to buy an authentic tea set and I'm looking at one that has this inscription on the case... does anyone know what it says?

Thanks a million,

I can only make out the small letters on the upper right hand corner. It says "Tokoname-yaki", which means that it was made near here in the city of Tokoname, one of several cities here in Japan famous for its pottery.

Good luck with the rest of it. It's most likely the potter's name or the name of the studio that made it or possibly even the tea bowl's name.

I'd say the first two are 窶卮停?敕シ which would suggest it has something to do with tea. Can't make out the third one.

I thank you so much for trying... that's really important because I'm really looking for a Tokoname set because I understand them to be the very best available. Thank you too for trying to identify the other words!
Does 窶卮停?敕シ mean "Brown Beauty"?
