Hello,

I would like to request help translating the kanji on the tang from a Japanese sword. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Can you post the full tang? It seems like its cut off at the most crucial part
伯耆守藤?
Hōki no kami Fuji ???
Hōki is the name of an old feudal domain (present day Tottori prefecture). "Kami" is an honorary title (like Lord or Governor).
Fuji would be the beginning of a name, probably Fujiwara something, but impossible to say without the full inscription.

Sorry I do not have the full pic at the moment, it was sent to me and this was all i have, is there any information that can be obtained by what is there ? thanks so much
