Cheese is hard to find in this country, but sometimes I can find a temporary stock of Australian cheese. This is my take on a pizza.

You have trouble finding cheese?
Can't find good cheese in this neck of the woods. Just that mixed natural crap that really melts away and has no taste stretchability to it. Really bad stuff. The stores keep changing their cheese here, but once in a while they'll have some Australian cheese that is fairly good. A tad expensive though. Around 500 yen for about 300 grams or whatever.
You make your own pizza , Mike?

The Pizza looks good. :)

I occasionally make my own but I can't imagine it being affordable to do so in Japan with what the cheese costs. I grew up in the cheese state, Wisconsin, and I love mounding the cheese on the pizza. :D

We can get a 5 lbs bag of real whole milk mozzarella, not that skim milk stuff, at the store here for about $10. I don't even want to think what that would cost at the grocery store in Japan. Not to mention the Canadian bacon to go on it, about 2 lbs for $7 here.

Bacon... God's favorite vegetable.

We usually use the bread machine to make the dough and put stuff on it. Not the good stuff but still nice to have pizza as ordering is way too expensive here in Japan.

Thanks.
The best cheese here comes form Australia at the moment. It's about 600 yen for 400 grams. It is tasty, yet, doesn't match the cheese coming from Wisconsin.

Japanese bacon does go well here with pizza. And so does anchovies, my favorite.

No Anchovies for me thanks!

Also, what is with mayo on, well everything? We had a pizza with mayo on it a few years ago. I think it was from PizzaHut somewhere near Nara City. Mayo, hotdogs, and corn if I remember correctly. And the pizza was small and insanely expensive.

Best to make your own if you can. :)

The picture was from a while back. Always made pizza, you are right, take out pizza is insanely expensive, but tasty. I do like anchovies on my pizza though and with black olives.

NO MAYO, HATE THAT ON PIZZA, BUT OKONIMIYAKI IS GREAT WITH MAYO
