Blood: The Last Vampire: Ronny Yu told Sci-Fi Wire he's optioned the rights to the Japanese anime film for a live-action movie.

some (if not most) anime just doesn't translate well into live action.. :(

i didnt really like blood, since i felt it ended in the middle of the movie, there was no real closing for it. like its part 1 but i havent heard of part 2. kinda like the jet li movie "the one" where it starts in the middle.

Oh.. I don't know... "Crying Freeman" wasn't so bad.
I think the only time you truly have to worry is when hollywood get's their hands on a comic.
Just look at what they did to "Judge Dread" !
It was a god damn massacre. They came, they brought, they slaughtered it !
I'm terrified to see what they've done to "The of League Gentlemen."

Ok....some of the television J- dorama series based on shojo mangas have been quite effective, but when the hollyweird crowd gets ahold of something, they usually ruin it.....

regarding comic books, spiderman was a notable exception....and perhaps the x-men, too.....

but, yeah, Judge Dredd was lame.... :(

I heard Fist of the Northstar live action was even worse...
